Dr. Fernando Miranda, MD

I was receiving facet injections from this 'Doctor.' He continually wanted to treat one side of my body at a time to 'see how I handle' the shots, and told me it was office policy. I've received these injections for over 10 years from other Doctors and handle them just fine. I asked him through his staff if he could do both sides in one visit because doing one side wasn't helping. When I made my last appointment, I notified his staff that if he couldn't do both sides, I would have to look for a new Doctor for future treatment.Instead of calling me to save me a 60-mile drive, he waited for me to show up at my appointment, and then he refused to treat me based on my notification to his staff. He was rude, dismissive, and exhibited thoroughly unprofessional behavior, tossing my chart on the exam bed and saying, 'Off you go' before walking out. In my opinion, he wanted to double-bill my insurance for the office visits to perform a procedure he could do in one visit.

Dr. Miranda stands out among all the other doctors I have seen over the last 3 years, and there have been way too many(including Cleveland Clinic) Dr. Miranda made no promises of a cure, but he did make it very clear that he was going to do everything he could to find out what is going on with me. Dr. Miranda is the only Physician that actually did a physical exam, which was amazing considering after 3 years of going to many specialist not one of them even took enough interest to figure out exactly what my limitations are and from what areas were involved. He was honest with the worst case scenario and for that I am very grateful. I feel like I am finally in good hands with a true professional. Dr Miranda and his staff are like a bright light in this very dark medical tunnel. Sad this system of medicine has become a revolving door that just passes us from one dr. to another and adds unnecessary stress to an already devastating limitation. Thank God for Dr. Miranda!!!

Dr. Miranda gave me my life back. I was in so much neck pain that I had to quit working and doing the things that I enjoy. Now I am back to work and riding my bike and doing yoga. He is also very kind and his staff is wonderful.

Dr Fernando miranda is a great pain management doctor. He does an excellent job on my spine for pain relief. I enjoy the conversations we have about anything. I recommend him.

Dr. MIranda listens, and genuinely cares for his patients. He has a very kind bedside manner. I am very happy with the treatment I am receiving.

Dr Miranda is a life saver. I believe I've had every kind of injection possible and the relief is awesome. It may be a bandaid for chronic back pain, but he keeps me out of surgery. For the one that complained about Dr Miranda getting them hooked on pain meds and then hold you hostage for an office appt.... they don't get you hooked, they're trying to help you find relief. If the meds are taken correctly, getting hooked wouldn't be an option. ALL physicians practice recalling their patients for an office visit after not seeing them for a while. Pills or no pills. It's a safety measure for us, the patient. I've been seeing Dr Miranda for alot of YEARS. If I had to wait an hour at an office visit, he's well worth the wait. Dee Stewart

I have been seeing Dr Miranda for years for relief of my chronic back pain. I have been treated with facet injections, epidurals, pain and muscle relaxer medications. The treatment may have worked for a short time if at all. But my biggest concern was the fact that I needed so much medication. Then recently I was denied a refill of my medication until I came in for an appointment even though I was in the office just a few months ago. They get you hooked on meds then hold you hostage to visit

I am quite satisfied with the treatment I received. They were quick they were thorough they got to the root of the problem and made sure they were treating the proper issue. Dr. Miranda's bedside manner is one of the best I've ever seen in a doctor. He is kind and gentle and always make sure you are okay before, durind, and after any procedure. I have nothing but good things to say about him. I highly recommend him and will continue to use him.

Finally a doctor who cares about his patients. Pain is about gone, I know that it will return, in meantime I continue to consult with my neurologist for a permanent solution. Dr. Miranda does a great job, thank you, and God bless.

Never. The staff is inept, unprofessional, and are intentional liars. Obviously from the majority of poor reviews here, I am not alone in my disappointing experience.

Dr Miranda takes care of his patients and very Progressive and through manner . He has been my dr. since he started his practice in Winter Haven. I highly recommend him.

I have nothing but good things to say about Dr Miranda. I was quite anxious the first time I met Dr. Miranda as I did not know what to expect. He explained everything thoroughly and put me at ease. I received an injection at the precise spot on my back almost two years ago,. This procedure stopped the numbness down my arm and into my hand. I have since only seen him one time for the same procedure and have had no further problems. Should the numbness return, I would not hesitate to call.

If you don't mind getting stuck with needles then see this Dr. He tells every patient they will need a series of shots, what he uses I don't know but I've been to him three times now and am still in pain. I talked with about 15 of his patients and they all tell me they were there more than 4 or 5 times with no results. He also doesn't talk with you like a normal Dr. He treats you like cattle. Needless to say, I won't go or recommend him to anyone.

he takes too long in between epidurals. he likes to give injections only. you cant get a appoim tment with doctor himself he refills tramadol over phone without doctor visit. i only had si tdown appt with Dr. Miranda one time in the 2 years I was seeing him. staff is very rude and uncaring about patients. do not go here.
