Dr. Franc Vanderven, DMD

I have seen Dr. Vanderven as my periodontist for over 20 years. He and his staff do an amazing job! His excellent education, effort, and skills have kept my teeth/gums in the best condition possible for decades, and I put my full trust in him for every procedure I have had. His office runs like clockwork, but Dr. Vanderven always has time for questions and is willing to explain procedures in precise and understandable terms. His easy manner and sense of humor also help with difficult procedures. As stated in other reviews, he personally contacts patients post-surgery, and cleans patients' teeth himself, so he can identify any potential issues.

Dr Vanderven is one of the best , I have been going to him off and on for ten years and always a satisfied customer :)

I went to Dr. Vanderven for several periodontal graphs. So very pleased first with the accurate information regarding the procedure and expectations regarding aftercare. I was pleasantly surprised to get a call from Dr. Vanderven the evening following each procedure. The office team was patient with my questions and helpful in working with me in a scheduling change. Overall, just must close with props to the doc as my dentist and his entire staff continue to call him "an artist" in his work. PVH

I've been a patient of Dr. Vanderven's for many years. I am fond of saying he owns half my mouth. He is an excellent periodontist and very caring. He called me both pre and post-surgery. he is very patient and takes time to explain treatment options. I've recommended him to several friends, all who are equally pleased.

Very conscientious about his work. Concerned and helpful with sensitive mouths and pain management. Prompt followup with patient. Also has good network of dentists for referrals for work that he does not do.

I have been a patient for over 19 years. Dr. V is very thorough and knowledgeable. He tackles very difficult dental issues and consults regularly with my dentist to provide the best possible care. I trust his judgement and advice. To keep on top of my extreme dental issues, he and my dentist switch off on cleanings every 3 months. He explains everything in detail and let's you make the final decision about treatment options.

I strongly recommend Dr. Vanderven if you want a periodontist who is incredibly skilled and precise, with a comfortable and personable approach. During every office visit, the doctor and his staff were very focused on my needs and comfort. I have had multiple surgeries by Dr. Vanderven and healed very quickly every time with no complications. He contacted me the night after each surgery to make sure I did not have any questions. No other doctor has ever done that in my experience.

I do not recommend this individual. If you have been referred to him, seek out additional consultations with other doctors. My experience with him was substandard resulting in painful, long recovery and poor results. He didn't remember 3 days after the surgery who I was or what procedure he had performed and the stated recovery time was wildly inaccurate. I cannot say one positive thing about my experience and deeply regret going to him for this surgery.
