Useless, unsympathetic doctor
Had a gastric bypass by an awful doctor. Dr. Bennadetto's operation made me spontaneously soil myself. Made an appointment to be seen by Dr. MacMillan to see if he could help. Was told, not an emergency, see you in 9 months. Was totally dismissed. I waited almost a year & he couldn't be bothered to listen to anything I was trying to explain. I was told that I was eating sugar & should expect this as this was dumping syndrome. I do not eat sugar. This is not dumping syndrome. No empathy, no compassion, no respect. I would not recommend him to anyone for any reason.

Would give ZERO stars if I could
I went with my son to his appointment. I found Dr. MacMillan to be very condescending and totally unsympathetic. He was not at all concerned about any of his symptoms and sent him home with instructions to try something he had already done. To make a long story short, within a few days of that appointment we brought my son to a hospital in Massachusetts where he was diagnosed in the emergency room, admitted and remained for TWO WEEKS. I would not send my worst enemy to see that man.

Had an appointment 2 weeks ago and thought Dr. MacMillan was a great doctor and man. He explained everything to me and did not rush through the appointment. He put my mind at ease and was very thorough in explanations. So happy I found this wonderful and caring doctor.

I sadly found this physician to be extremely arrogant, communicating with the proverbial "one foot out the door", and lacking any attempt to fully engage - therefore, in addition to lacking compassion, his abruptness precluded any ability to process a complicated situation. I have seen several local gastroenterologists in the past for other problems as well as for routine colonoscopies. There are much better choices to make when it comes time to see man MD in this specialty. Quite frankly, I cannot fathom why he went in to medicine.

Not sure why the good reviews. Went for upper right quadrant pain this year. Had elevated liver enzymes (& bilirubin) (off & on) past several years. I still have the upper right pain after eating certain things (usually carby foods). I have ulcerative proctitis, that he is attributing the upper right quadrant pain to, "as my liver enzymes were normal the past few times", and he thinks the fatty liver is gone. My recent '18 CT (through his office!) showed fatty liver w/NO CHANGE from '17!
