He did my hiatal hernia surgery.He has the best bed side manner.He is professional, takes the time to answer questions, shows an interest and concern.He provided me with guidance, etc. even for medical areas outside his realm.I wish all my Dr's were clones of Dr. Borao.

Dr. Borao is simply the best at what he does. He's worked on me three separate times over 13 years. He saved my life with a Giant type 4 paraoesophageal hernia repair, later, a double inguinal hernia repair and most recently, A cholecystectomy (Gall Bladder removal) with an addition umbilical hernia repair thrown in. Dr. Borao is patient, answers all and any questions and has the best technical surgical skills with minimally invasive surgery. I had some difficulty the evening of the latest surgery. My wife called his service and Dr. Borao got back to us quickly and followed up with a call the next day. He's always made me feel at ease and is very personable and genuinely caring. I would, and have, recommended him.

“Extraordinary” is the word I use to describe Dr. Borao. From the first meeting my son and I had with him, I had total confidence in this doctor, and that surgery was the answer for my very large hiatal hernia, which was pressing on my heart and lung. He explained everything, answered all of our questions and assured me that my age was not a problem (Other doctors had told me it would be.) When the time came for the surgery, I went into the hospital with no fear and total confidence in Dr. Borao. The next day I was released and I stayed at the home of my son and his wonderful wife for the three weeks of recovery and special diet. There was no pain after the surgery just mild discomfort the first week. Other doctors I spoke to about Dr. Borao described him as “the best” “excellent” “world class”. Thank you Dr. Borao! Also thanks to Dr. Squilero, Dr. Borao’s choice to assist him with the surgery, and Vickie who was so helpful, and coordinated all of my appointments.

Dr. Borao is a very gifted, caring surgeon. He explains everything, his attention to detail is amazing. He saved my husband's life, he had stage 4 stomach cancer. Dr. Borao operated & removed the cancer & 75% of his stomach. My husband is doing great, we are so grateful to Dr. Borao and his skills.

Dr. Borao is wonderful. He repaired my hernia and made it so I could enjoy life again. I wasn't able to eat solid food and after the operation I was able to eat and enjoy my life.I would recommend him to anyone having any stomach issues or hernias. His bedside manner is great and he really cares about his patients.

An absolutely wonderful doctor. Patient. Knowledgeable. Excellent patient-doctor rapport. He performed hiatal hernia and gastric sleeve surgery on me in July 2015. My recovery was effortless and I attribute mush of that to Dr. Borao's surgical expertise.
