Dr. Corbett is great, but the office staff will not return calls. I have been waiting 3 MONTHS for a call back re: a prescription approval for my prescription provider. Last year I had to drive to the office to give it to them because they said they never got the Fax. (I had the confirmation page from the Fax). This year I mailed is USPS. I am in the process of getting a 'new' Dr. Very poor customer service. Plus, I don't see him, I see his P.A.

Dr Corbett is an outstanding GI....I have had him do my colonoscopy every 5 years for the past 35 years. I have always felt I have the best care possible with Dr. Corbett.

Had an appointment today at 1:30 with Dr. Corbett. I drove over an hour from Tampa because I've used this doctor for many years. Today instead of seeing me I was told it would be at least another hour and a half because the doctor was not able to manage his schedule. I will be finding another doctor

We couldn't be more pleased with the care with have received from Dr. Corbett and his entire surgical team. However, the office staff, particularly those responsible for making appointments, are terrible. When you call, after waiting on hold for long periods, you are instructed to leave a message, but the mail box is always full and you are sent back to main menu and the process begins again. We have also experienced other difficulties when trying to schedule or reschedule appointments.

His office staff is a nightmare of incompetence. They refuse to answer the phone or return phone calls. Getting a prescription refill is nearly impossible.

Bottom line, Dr. C is an intellect. If you want/need lengthy discussion, superior bedside manner, touchy/feelly, look elsewhere. With that said, Dr. C. is extremely knowledgeable, up to date with latest research/evidence, and has capable hands (procedures). Working with Dr. C. is a quality play vs. a “relationship” play. With all of that said, I put much of this on the evolution of medicine/insurance as a volume sport. The push is to do more with less, and in less time.

My family has been seeing Dr. Corbett for 16 years, but this will no longer be the case. He is aloof and non-caring as well as glued to his computer at all times. His PA is okay, but she seems rushed. The office staff are unprofessional and not into customer service. You can not talk with a live person and most of the time the voice mailbox is full. Extremely frustrating when you are ill and have to make contact.

Dr. Corbett was unwilling to work w/ my PCP and my nutritionist. His way or no way -- very inflexible. Seems to think he's above everyone else. He looks at the computer the entire time you're speaking w/him. Asks if you've tried meds that he's prescribed! Always a minimum hour wait -- never apologizes. Sat on a report for 3 months that indicated clearly that follow-up was needed. No apology, only excuses.

Dr. Corbett is an excellent doctor and I appreciate his skill and expertise. His administrative staff has to be the worst staff I have ever dealt with in the medical community. Both my insurance company and pharmacy have never ending issues dealing with the administrative staff at his office. The administrative staff will not return messages or give you a status on items they are required to send to pharmacies or insurance companies.

Dr. Corbett seems to be a fine doctor. My rheumatologist uses him for his own medical needs. The office staff, however, is the worst I?ve dealt with in Sarasota. You have to call several times to get refills or have records sent to another doctor.
