Dr. Frank Linn, MD

Dr. Linn is very knowledgeable, empathic and clearly cares very deeply about his work and about his patients. He has been my gastroenterologist for many years, and does what would seem to be the impossible: namely, making a visit to a gastroenterologist a pleasant experience. He is very personable, witty, and is a great listener. On top of all of that, I credit him with helping to save my life. When I had troublesome symptoms he performed a colonoscopy which revealed nothing. Despite those results, I was convinced something was wrong with me and he quickly scheduled me for some further scans, which revealed ovarian cancer. Had he not taken me seriously, I'm not sure I would still be here today. He is a fabulous doctor and a wonderful human being.

Dr. Linn is an experienced and competent physician. All my experiences with him have been very professional. The facilities for testing are top notch and the staff is friendly and competent.

Dr. Linn and his staff were extremely helpful and sensitive to this almost 80 year old grandma. the staff and Dr Linn explained what would happen before and after and it was a very pleasant and painfree experience. D.G. North Chelmsford, MA

Dr. Linn and his staff were friendly, professional and made my appointment a very pleasant experience. They were attentive to all my needs. I give them my highest recommendation.

The good doctor thinks he has transcended being a mere doctor and is now some kind of sage or something. He would be pretty good if he would just be quiet and do his job and answer the patient’s questions. He simply could not give a straight “yes” or “no” as to whether I had hemorrhoids or not. He gave some ineffectual muscle relaxer and sent me to a urologist! The urologist found the hemorrhoid, and discovered that I had a “distended colon” (a GI issue if there ever was one!!). AVOID!!!!

Unfortunately I did not get to see Dr Linn. His front office staff totally lacks bedside manor and the ability to handle conflict and not judge. I walked out. They were condescending, and judgmental. It went down hill fast when I stuck up for myself. They should have backed down but continued to digress. Save your energy and see another one of the many Gastro DRs unless Dr Linn retrains his staff. If they or he would have called me and apologized, I would not have written this review.

Dr Linn is highly competent, thorough, attentive, instills trust and confidence in his work. He provides thoughtful careful explanations and education. He is also really witty and funny - you almost want to go to the doctor if it is Dr. Linn. The only possible improvement would be ease in making the actual appointment. But, I trust and like Dr. Linn so very much that i assume there is a good reason for his staffing decisions.

Dr. Linn creates an atmosphere of trust and respect for patients. Actually listens and responds.
