Dr. Frank Pellegrino, MD

Needing to find a new PCP after mine of 16 years dropped my insurance, my anxiety went through the roof. After doing my research and reading reviews, I felt comfortable in choosing Dr Pellegrino for my PCP and the treatment that I received from the first phone call to his office, I felt like a human being, not a another Ins ID number. The staff is very friendly, helpful and competent, which is very rare these days. My anxiety level dropped quickly after several minutes of conversation with Dr P. He was very easy to talk to, showed with no doubt that he cared. Very thorough explaining my concerns. Didn’t feel rushed whatsoever.

Every appointment this year has been cancelled but one. They tell you the doctor is sick and won't be in the office. He is sick every appointment I have had, and they act like your awful for getting upset over it. Yet they tell you not to go to ER or urgent care. They can take care of you. Called insurance today and will have new doctor Sept. 1st. Do not recommend unless you are in excellent health.

To afraid to speak out, moving on with life. And, thank God for the VA that helped me out. They were wonderful and put me first !!! My grandkids now have their “Pops”, around for hope a long time. And, my wonderful wife of 57 years and my long term friends that were there for me when I needed them most.

My family members and I have been patients of Dr. Pellegrino for 15 years. My 33 year career in emergency medicine and working in the emergency department in a major city hospital exposed me to the good and the bad of the medical profession. I found Dr. Pellegrino to be very knowledgeable of the most current studies, procedures and medications while being compassionate and personable, He also has a quality not frequently found in the medical profession, he takes time to listen to his patients and gives them the opportunity to participate in determining the course of their medical treatment. Dr. Pellegrino's medical and office staff are very competent, professional, friendly and always ready to provide assistance. All around, this practice is the best of the best.

I am a healthy 70 year old who likes to be proactive about my health. We moved to Mount Dora a year ago. After nine months with Dr. Pellegrino (including many routine tests like breathing, EKG and etc.) I was told my six month follow-up, scheduled appointment would be with the PA and pushed out another three months. I have had four bad experiences with PAs, so I requested to be booked with Dr. Pellegrino even if it meant waiting. I was told that they do not accept my medicare advantage plan. Hmm! They accepted it to pay for all of the tests that were ordered. Overall, this practice is a frustrating experience. Find another doctor.

Dr. Pellegrino has been my Doctor for over 20 years. He is very caring and thorough, never makes you feel rushed. His staff are always friendly and helpful. I have recommended him to many people over the years.

i question his ethics which for a doctor is the worst thing imaginable.

Absolutely horrible. Was told by the nurse care manager that he would no longer take my mom as a patient. Her care is too difficult for him. We felt pressured to choose another doctor right there instead of giving us time to do research. Why wasn't she allowed to stay on as a patient with Brian Kinsey the PA????

I arrived 45 minutes early for my 145 appointment my very first visit. Dr came into the room at 3 pm introduces himself asked me what I had a problem with I said my appointment was at 145 he shut my file and told me to leave the office on my way out, as I was begging him to see me, he says to me that I was rude and I shouldn't bite the hand that helps me

This Dr. Puts his staff above his patients! I was in his office and I. Was very ill , exhausted and short of breath, he came into the room and accused me of being rude to his nurse, and told me to leave and find another Dr.! Unbelievable! I left and turned him into my insurance company. Never have I been treated like this in my life!

New to Leesburg (me). He never saw me. He was too busy and he was my primary care. Saw another DR. in his office. No one came when I was at the hospital and requested MY DR. Asked many times, over many hours. Maybe he was just TOO busy and so was everyone else in his office. Too busy for a patient requesting there DR? Early evening until close to midnight, coming in through emergency room??? Sorry, if you are THAT busy that you can't (won't) come, call, or do ANYTHING to let me know you care about my health, then you are not my kind of DR. Same goes for anyone in your office. I would not recommend this Dr, or anyone from his office. They are just so busy, it seems that they can only care about themselves, and of course, your insurance money. Please. I ended up leaving after so many hours. Never even bothered to call to see how I was. Thank you for reading this. I certainly would not even give them a one star.

Excellent Doc, listens, processes, and discusses your concerns. Very knowledgeable and caring. Highly recommend him as a PCP

Calm and professional in a friendly way. Listens to questions and concerns and gives simple responses. Spends adequate time for checkup. Is conservative in his course of treatment.

Best and most caring doctor I have ever had.

One of the best doctors in Lake county. He knows how to take care of his patients and keep them healthy. I appreciate all he has done for me
