I can't say I met Dr Saltiel at a great time- I was having a heart attack. But he quickly took care of it with all the professional grace one could expect. I was later told by my case worker that he is considered one of the top heart doctors at Borgess and in his opinion, one of the best in the state. I believe it! Also the nurse or assistant working for him at my follow up, Tia I believe, was the sweetest most adorable ever. She will go places.

My contact with Dr. Saltiel has been basically annual check and evaluation appointments. I have found him to be one of the most caring medical specialists that I have met. He is indeed a listener and humbly uses his expertise to discuss any issues you may have. He creates a very comfortable atmosphere where you feel open to speak. He is a specialist with the concern of a primary care provider.

A strong, healthy 54 year old man with no history of heart problems, I had a widowmaker heart attack Nov. 4, 2020. I was choppered to Borgess in Kzoo and fortunately, Dr. Saltiel was there to save my life. When I was wheeled into surgery, he introduced himself, said this will be quick, time is muscle, and went to work. He did good work. One week after surgery, I feel like Superman. Absolutely no pain, breathing better than I have in 10 years, slept like a baby last night and enjoyed a brisk, 1 mile, 20 minute walk with my wife of 28 years, this morning. When I was on the gurney, I didn't ask for his educational background. I am glad Dr. Saltiel was willing to do the work and make the sacrifices at Northwestern and Stanford before choosing to practice in West Michigan. If I had a less capable surgeon at the one moment I needed one, things may be completely different for my family today. I highly recommend Dr. Saltiel to anyone in need of heart help.

He is a one and done guy. Seen him once and obviously had not so much as even reviewed my medical records by the questions he asked of me. Immediately wanted to start messing with my medical dosages among being in a hurry. I couldn’t in good conscience recommend this guy.

Dr saltiel makes the time to help you understand what's going on with your heart in a down to earth way. He was patience and reassuring and made me feel like I was his only patient.
