I went to Dr. Li because I was getting terrible headaches. They would originate in my left eye. He performed cataract surgery on that eye. As far as I know, that went reasonably well. However, after I received my new eyeglasses prescription, my headaches persisted. They actually got worse. My right eye was now also involved. I just returned from a completely different ophthalmology practice. They told me that my eyeglass prescription was off by four diopters. That is a lot. So, here I go again. All new glasses which hopefully will finally stop the headaches. I would not use this person if he was the last ophthalmologist within a thousand miles. He actually made my condition worse!

Consultation with Dr. Li
I brought my 97-yr-old mother to an appointment which I misunderstood regarding the time. We were an hour late. The office and Dr. Li were very accommodating and saw us in a timely manner. We were most appreciative!Dr. Li listens and is very approachable and pleasant.

Would avoid
I got rescheduled multiple times for my appointment, one of which was due to a short-notice vacation by the doctor, which I consider unprofessional when it was close enough that patients would’ve already requested off work. The office didn’t care gave me an appointment for 3 months later (even though my original appointment had been weeks away). When I finally had the appointment all he said was “we’ll keep on an eye on it” then took a picture of my eye with his phone which somehow cost me $75 after insurance. The whole thing left me feeling uncared for, which is not an experience I’ve had at the doctor before or since.

$438 for a 5-minute appointment!! My wife went for possible plastic surgery. Dr. Li spent literally 5 minutes with her, and we received a bill of $438 for an office consultation. That's simply ridiculous. After calling the office, the staff said Dr. Li can charge as much as he wants for the appointment. So be careful of spending your time there, as he charges about $100 / minute!

I sought Dr. Li's help in correcting a problem created by another opthalomogist which left me unable to go outside without wearing a wide-brimmed hat and sunglasses on top of my progressive lenses.....even on a cloudy day. The day after surgery, I went for a walk without any added protection! The sun no longer blinds me and I am so grateful for Dr. Li's ability to correct this problem! In addition to his skills, Dr. Li is the kindest doctor I have even had the pleasure to call "my doctor."

I like Dr. Li and overall am satisfied with his expertise. However, I would just ask that they have toilet paper and paper towel in the ladies' room. Also, it was messy on the floor in the bathroom.
