Life saving & life changing
Dr. Henderson's clinical skills, expertise, experience, courage, and excellence saved my life. Dr. Henderson demonstrated a conservative approach managing my significant spinal issues and, ultimately, I tremendously benefitted from several surgeries. Dr. Henderson ensured my questions were answered, spent adequate time explaining procedures to me, and is readily accessible to patients post-operatively. He is completely devoted to his patients, advancing treatments, and improving quality of life for those suffering. Dr. Henderson is a gift to this world and his kindness, compassion, and empathy are unmatched. It's a privilege to trust Dr. Henderson with my life and I am thankful for him every day. Because of Dr. Henderson's efforts, I am able to live a full life, can walk, and have earned a doctoral degree. I cannot imagine my life without Dr. Henderson and his incredible office staff. I am so grateful for Dr. Henderson and his practice.

AVOID
If you have a complex neurosurgical problem, don't waste your time with this man or his incompetent office staff. Total waste of time and money.

Wrong surgery
He performed two neuro surgeries-a decompression that I didn't need, we didn't discuss, and is not on my operative report.

After 10 years and 8 unnecessary surgeries from other doctors, I was sent to Dr. Henderson by my primary doctor. I was in constant pain for years and my previous neurologist told me there was nothing wrong with me and it was all in my mind. To say the least, I was furious. Two weeks later i went to Dr Henderson and within 5 minutes of seeing my MRI he had diagnosed me with a tumor on my spine. 2 days later I had surgery and was told beforehand that I would be unable to walk and had a 50/50 chance after therapy. Within hours after surgery I had zero pain and was walking the next day, I was able to go home 3 days after surgery and recovered completely within a few months. That was almost 30 years ago and I still feel great, he was a godsend and I'll never forget all that he has done for me.

Bad in a life-changing way... he is VERY dangerous. God complex, although I believe his heart is in the right place. Talked me into a second spine surgery just days before I was scheduled for a fusion in another location in my spine, and only based this on a single piece of paper survey, not MRI images. I was in an urgent situation and needed to trust someone but picked the wrong neurosurgeon to trust. I've had lasting, horrible pain and dysfunction and when I tried returning for help he sent in a PT rather than seeing me himself. Based on the PT visit Dr. H then wanted to do BRAIN surgery on me that I DID NOT need, and again didn't take the time to first figure out what WAS going on. What would have been a 3rd surgery with him fortunately resolved on its own. But my neck and lower back are forever changed and I'll never be the same or out of pain. BEWARE and watch out for positive reviews. He was being sued by others for these things and has been kicked out of hospitals.

Dr. Henderson is undoubtedly one of the most knowledgeable doctors in the world about the conditions he treats. He also recognizes his limitations and asks for other doctors' advice when necessary. He consulted with a few other surgeons about my surgery. He's also conservative when making surgical decisions and keeps his patients' best interests in mind. Doctors like him are extremely rare!

Very knowledgeable in his field of CCI and eds. Was one of the first doctors to believe in me. Dr. Henderson was able to diagnose me with in 5 minutes of looking at my MRI scans. I would recommend him to anyone who is suffering from eds hyper mobility and cranial- cervical instability!!!

I had a 1 hour consult with Dr. Henderson on 4/15/19. To say he lives up to his inimitable reputation is actually an understatement -- he is a literal Godsend for patients with EDS. He was gracious but efficient with his time and, within 15 minutes, had demonstrated on a large screen the various instabilities in my neck. A year and so many doctors later in MA, RI, NY, NC and now MD, I finally had a diagnosis! The degree to which I had been forced to constantly advocate for myself and do my own research had left me a one-man rapid-fire interrogation machine, but Dr. Henderson remained kind and pleasant in the face of my barrage of questions. As both a person and a professional, he embodies a gentility and civility that is in such rare supply. He is an upstanding, gentlemanly, deeply intelligent neurosurgeon. I would strongly encourage those with EDS to seek out the insight of this very, very rare breed of distinguished neurosurgeon. I'm extremely blessed to be under his care.

Dr. Henderson is the most kind, patient and above all knowledgeable Dr. I have ever come in contact with. He successfully fixed a C1/C2 fusuon surgery due to AAI that another surgeon had botched. I believe Dr. Henderson is a literal gift from God.

I had a cranio cervical fusion surgery with Dr. Fraser Henderson in december of 2017 at doctor’s community hospital. He is the best neurosurgeon in the world. I went all over the place searching for help and answers and nobody could help me. My doctors here in NY, are calling him a wizard. All of the pain in the back of my head and neck are gone. I had a resting heart rate of 145 before my operation to a resting heart rate of 80 post operation. He and doctors community hospital saved my life.

DO NOT GO TO THIS DOCTOR! If you leave a bad review, he will come after you in every way possible. Your life will end up in shambles. Harm WILL come to you if something goes wrong and you report it. Please listen to me. I don't want anyone else to go through what I'm going through.

Living with EDS is difficult and complex. To be dismissed for years was worth the wait for Dr. Henderson. Dr. Henderson is in no way perfect but he listens, prays and supports. EDS is incurable but manageable thanks to his blessed mind, heart and hands. I've had the pleasure of being both his patient and colleague(RN previously at DCH??) There are positive and negative aspects of every person, every physician but the blessing is Dr. Henderson knows and acknowledges his strengths and weaknesses.

I thought Dr Henderson was great like everyone else,HOWEVER,after my SECOND surgery with him, where a fragment was missed, I wasn't treated well by him. I said I was in severe pain after SECOND Surgery and I asked for NRI, not him. He was threatened, said wouldn't write more disability notes, and said to LTD I was better and should find PT work. My LTD was dropped,Im seeing neurosurgeon who wants new MRI,,I've wasted 7 years of my life because these drs can't get a surgery right. Very upset.

Dr. Henderson is incredible! Brilliant surgeon that also has great bedside manors. I could write a book on how he was a God sent for my wife who had what turned out to be a 3 1/2" tumor inside her spinal column. He removed every bit of it and fused her back together.

Dr. Henderson saved my life and gave me my quality of life back. He performed an exceptional surgery that was complicated by small vertebrae in my cervical spine without any problems. He is deeply invested in each patient, is brilliant beyond all measures, and is the best physician, surgeon, and practitioner I have ever met. There are no better hands to put your life in than his. One of the greatest people I have had the privilege to meet.
