Terrible Office Staff
Its tough dealing with a doctors’s office that is only open twice a week, but the fact that they stop answering the phone early makes it that much more frustrating. It took 3 months for them to send in a prior authorization form for a medication I had been on for years. I spend a good 3-4 a week talking back and forth between my pharmacy, insurance, and them. Every time I talked to them they said they were filling it out now, but every time I talk to the pharmacy the form was either filled out incorrectly or not sent in at all. Sad thing is after that was all resolve, it turned out the prior authorization was only good for a month, so back to the back and forth I went as I tried desperately to find a new doctor.

Unresponsive
Unresponsive, overcrowded, must come in to hear results of test if you don't have a computer. Now has limited days of the week he is in, and no answering service during that time. Able to reach answering service at night, but not even sure they give the message to the doctor.

I visited Dr. Ast several years ago and attended physical therapy in his office. I felt better after this treatment. He did not try to prescribe strong and addictive medications, as many other doctors do. Also Dr. Ast seems to look through medical news, learns about scientific research and knows about medications' side effects. Also one of physical therapists in his office was really good. Now I am thinking to go to Dr. Ast again and looked on this site his info.

Frequently forgot to order medication I needed for infusions in time, delaying appointments, forgot to ask me to get new referrals for my medication until 1 day before infusion date, frequently blamed me for clerical errors until I presented him with evidence of his own offices errors.
