Dr. Frederick Hecht, DMD

I have anxiety and my husband accompanies me to ALL dental procedures. He helps keep me calm by touching my leg and praying while the work is being done. I had to walk out on extraction day because they wouldn't allow him to sit with me and wanted me to go to sleep on a different day to pull ONE tooth. I have made it through other times with his support. I know it's not normal but I've been through it before. This dentist just refused. Now I have to wait to find another dentist with availability for the extraction.

I had a fine experience. Came in, looked at and then made a follow up appointment for a removal. Had the removal....went fine.

RUDE, CONDESCENDING

If you can go anywhere else, you should. The doctor had an incredibly rude and patronizing attitude. The day of my surgery I showed up and not a single employee was at the desk to check me in. Even when I called the office and the phone started ringing, no one came out. Eventually the dr. himself came out when someone called his personal cell. He then took me to the non surgical side of the building, asking if I was here for a check up while looking at my file. Obviously not very reassuring.

I Would totally recommend Dr.Hech to any of my family or friends. He is very kind and professional!! And the same for is whole staff. Surgery went very well! I'm extremely happy, I'm healing with no problems at all.

Dr. Hecht helped me through an extraordinarily difficult and very unpleasant facial reconstruction. His skill set is fantastic. I was under his care for several months through many appointments. His care and skill changed my life. He may not be to everyone's taste on a personal level, but I will remain grateful to him for the remainder of my life.

I had an appointment at 12 noon. By 12: 45 I was still sitting there. There were several people ahead of me who had 11:30 am appointments who had not been seen. I realize that things come up but surely the office staff should give and explanation and so people can choose to reschedule or wait. I will look elsewhere.

My mother saw Dr. Hecht for a tooth extraction and he was rude, made unprofessional and inappropriate comments about her questions and seemed to get angry because she was concerned about the procedure being painful. He was rough and when she started gagging while he was working, he nastily exclaimed, "What's the matter with you?" He was condescending and had no bed-side manner what-so-ever. We waited over an hour and a half to be seen. We will never go back to this practice!

Not a good experience. The office seems far too busy. We had to reschedule the first appt after waiting 45 min. The rescheduled visit required a wait of almost an hour. On the day of surgery, we spent 5 hours in the office rather than the 2 hours we were told to expect because he was far behind in his schedule. Dr. Hecht seemed defensive and challenging when asked to respond to what seemed like basic questions about recommended procedures. His office did not send tx info to our referring dentist

I needed to have a sinus lift before implant surgery. Dr Hecht was very informative and even called after the surgery to make sure I was feeling OK. To be honest, I have never had a surgeon follow up with me after a scheduled surgery. He is kind, thoughtful and very professional in his practice.I would highly recommend him as your surgeon.

Not very friendly or personable. Did not explain procedure very well, and did not explain what he was doing while he was removing a lesion in my mouth. I thought it was going to be drained and closed, but it felt like he was digging and cutting. There was a tremendous amount of force used, but I'm not sure why. He also seemed frustrated which increased my anxiety.
