Dr. Furqan Muqri, MD

Went in to get veins removed (specifically 2 on my leg). For starters, he was over an hour late to the appointment and when showed up he was rushed. He did not explain what the process was going to be nor how many incisions would be needed. Furthermore, he hastily started to make incisions without giving time for the anesthesia to kick in. This is where Freddy Krueger took over. Every expectation is 2 to 3 small cuts. My leg was a disaster. Over 10 “not small” cuts were made and the wound pain is unbearable. Cant wait to see how much I’ll have to pay to remove the major scarring resulting from this negligence. Please go elsewhere in Chicago - I should have learned from prior experiences with Ascension that their doctors are not the most competent. Northwestern and Rush are much better options.

Dr. Muqri is one of the most kindest, reliable and easy going doctors. He is super easy to talk to. A very good vascular surgeon

I’m not sure who the previous reviewers were talking about (mysteriously posted on the same day), but I thought Dr Muqri was wonderful. We were so nervous about my husbands impending surgery and the recovery. The doctor was kind, direct, and patiently answered my many questions. I was not sure what to expect as we are new to the area and UpState, but this surgeon, another, and a couple of the nurses made a very upsetting and stressful experience easier for family to get through. I wrote down names, took notes, and will be posting similar reviews. Thank you so much for helping my husband and family!

Worst doctor ever. I would never go to him and would never recommend him to anyone. Horrible surgeon and even worse vascular surgeon. Zero compassion at all!!

Horrible doctor. I would never ever recommend him to anyone. He is selfish and only cares for himself. He is a liar and only has one goal in mind: himself. Never ever go to him!!! Stay away!!!
