Did NOT listen to my past experiences with my condition, was more concerned about time of appoitment than addressing my health concerns. Made me feel his attitude was 'my way or highway'

No one likes going to the doctor, but Dr Berendes is the kind of person you'd want. I feel like I have a doctor who cares about looking out for my health.

Felt that doctor was easily annoyed when asked questions about “MY” health! Needs to know that it is not personal… it is a patients right to inquire!! Very disappointed!!

Established care with him for our 9-year-old son after his prior doctor left. He was great. Thorough, patient, great with kids. Would highly recommend.

The first appointment was hopeful, but from there I was told to wait out my post-COVID symptoms despite zero improvement being made. After one week of increasing HR readings and losing my ability to walk any distance among many other issues, I went to the ER to get a Pulmonology referral that this doctor refused. This doctor told me that because my labs were normal, he couldn’t do anything despite that I’m sure he knew that common practice for post-COVID Patients with symptoms and labs like mine was a Pulmonology referral. Later when asked to fill out my FMLA paperwork, he presented an option was would have increased my fatigue and other symptoms. His response was that we would have to end the appointment and he couldn’t fill the paperwork out. It wasn’t until I proposed another viable solution that he reluctantly resumed, but then submitted sloppy and mostly blank paperwork with sections that should have been filled in completely blank. This doctor can help healthy people. That’s it.
