Not ADA Compliant Refuse Telehealth Accommodations
Was refused ADA protected access to equal healthcare. I cannot drive or handle new spaces due to medical conditions. Was refused an appointment unless I physically showed up because 'I may get drugs'. I've been seeing a psych since I was in elementary. The psych does not send you home with drugs, you pick them up at a pharmacy. Telehealth is not a hard accomodation to do, especially after Covid and I highly doubt he was forcing patients to physically come into his office during Covid Shutdowns, so it's not a new technology learning curve to handle. (In other words, there's no excuse)Telehealth does not hinder a psych's ability to assess a patient. I was simply looking to continue my medications, which have been sorted out for years but had a change of insurance. There was literally nothing new for him to do. I waited two and a half months for a possible appointment, and now I can't even attend one. This guy, and Northwestern, is not ADA compliant. Stay away.

Won't call to schedule appointment
My fiance has had great experiences with him, but I cannot recommend him. Called 'office' twice to try and get scheduled for an ADHD intake for myself. It's a call center and the office would 'get back to me within one business day'. I called twice and got blown off twice. Really reassuring for a mental health provider's office to blow you off.

Inappropriate Ego.
Dr Fuqua made a crude comment making me feel like he was looking at a sick uneducated child rather than an educated consumer. He only saw a patient with an illness rather than a grown up with a symptom.

Fantastic physician
Dr. Fuqua has helped me through a very difficult work situation. He has been a tremendous help by just listening and not giving me suggestions. He is always kind, caring, and patient. If I have any concerns about my medication he is there for me. I am glad I started seeing him!
