Dr. Gabriel Mihailescu, MD

After moving to St. Louis, MO, my new Internist is Nothing even close to you Dr. Mihailescu. I Miss Dr. Gabriel's warmth and kindness and your ability to let your patients talk to you openly. When it's open enrollment for Medicare again, I WILL be looking for a New doctor here in STL, I do Not like this guy. He cuts you off and is Very Rude. In fact ALL of my GB doctors were ALL GREAT, no matter which Healthcare facility they worked at, (ABCMC, HSHS, Prevea, GB Endocrinology), you were AMAZING and I will TRUELY Miss you. Thank you for Treating me well and with Kindness.

Being chronically ill and treated by the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN for the past decade has taught me a lot. I’ve had many experiences with medical providers—both good and bad. Dr. Milhailescu is the by far the worst experience I’ve had. 1) He did not read through my chart prior to the appointment and made uninformed recommendations as a result. 2) He lacks listening skills, and his bedside manner is impressively bad. Despite preparing a condensed list of notes, I did not get to share any of them. He also removed his mask without even asking if it was alright. 3) Although I was not there for my weight (I see Mayo for this and have lost 40lbs [approximately 1.5lbs per week) since April), this was all he wanted to talk about. The bottom line for him is that I am not doing enough. 4) He pressed me for details/examples of my self-excoriation disorder. This behavior and rhetoric is concerning considering he has a patient facing role and treats young and/or vulnerable individuals.

Very patient and willing to listen.

I went almost 3 months with a compression fracture in my spine. If he listened, I wouldn't have had to suffer that long with fracture. I requested new imaging to be done on my back. Some were done at different location at ER after auto accident. He said no, even though clearly something wasn't right for how much pain I was in. Thankfully a different Dr. helped me. To be blown off like Mihailescu did was horrible. He used to be good. Staff friendliness stars do NOT include him.

Amazing ,he really feels like family.
