great doctor, terrible service
Dr Olaru was thorough, very competent, knowledgeable, gentle and understanding. She had a great attitude despite it being a very busy day. I would highly recommend this doctor but not the practice. I had a two hour wait after the appointed time, including a long wait to check in. The front desk was not ignoring people, they were genuinely working hard. I just wish the office didn't overschedule and the wait wasn't so long. After the visit, I had a problem with the prescription because my insurance would not pay for a brand name, and I needed a generic prescription. I tried calling the office and was put on hold forever. Then their system would hang up on me. I have been trying to reach the office for the past two days and have been hung up on, maybe 8-9 times now. Their backoffice is terrible.

Excellent Doctor!
Dr. Olaru makes you feel comfortable. Excellent bedside manner. Listens to your concerns and immediately provides you with solutions. Her assistant Leisa is an amazing nurse that treats her patients with kindness and compassion!

You will not be involved in your care
Dr Olaru is very nice as a person. Unfortunately this clinic is run as though you are not a human. There is no time for questions, test results are provided by a tech over the phone, so you cannot ask questions. If you ask for the Dr to call you back, she will not. If you are someone who needs to be involved in your care, I suggest you look elsewhere.

Best Female Doctor in Manhattan
I love Dr. Olaru. She is thorough with her examinations and questions every visit, and does her best to make you feel comfortable and find solutions to every issue. She covers all areas of concern with compassion and listens to you. I leave feeling secure in knowing that my health was priority and she made me feel at ease.

Fantastic
After leaving my regular OBGYN following years of bad experiences, I scheduled a visit at VCare with Dr. Olaru. The office itself is clean, staff friendly and knowledgeable. Dr.Olaru was extremely kind, attentive, knowledgeable and took the time to make sure any concerns I had were addressed. I felt extremely comfortable with her and I’m so happy I have a doctor I can trust now.

Excellent gynecologist
Dr. Olaru was very attentive and took her time with the consultation  She asked if I noticed any changes since my last visit  She explained the sonogram to me and was happy that the results were much better than my previous sonogram.  The office is bright and welcoming.  Her staff are very friendly and helpful in scheduling appointments and referrals for mammograms and tests.  The sonogram technician was very thorough and  professional. It is a very friendly and professional practice.  I have been under Dr. Olaru’s care for a few years and I am happy to have her as my gynecologist and highly recommend her to others.

Great doctor.
I was happy that I did not have to wait long for the doctor to examine me and that I had my sonogram first before being examined. Dr. Olaru was nice examined me and asked me if I had a mammogram or if I need a referral.

Compassionate provider
My first impression of the office, staff and doctor far exceeded my expectations. I was given a next day early appointment, the clinic and waiting area was very neat and organized, the staff were efficient, friendly and accommodating and the doctor (Olaru) was very attentive about my concerns and reassured me with a concrete plan regarding my well-being. I'm recommending them to the ladies in my family. I found my forever GYN.

Unscrupulous billing practices
1. I went in for an annual checkup. Both the office staff and the doctor tried to upsell an ultrasound - even before the consultation started (as in, not because they saw something they wanted to check further or because i have a pre-exisitng condition). It was a weird interaction that I've never had with any other doctor and made me feel uncomfortable (I was there for a medical service, not a sales pitch...), but whatever. I declined.Later, I see from my insurance account that I've been billed for the ultrasound that I did not get. 2. That same annual checkup appointment resulted in another surprise bill from the lab for hundreds of dollars.Despite the seriousness of these issues, the office has not been returning my calls to resolve. I will be consulting appropriateregulators if I don't hear back in the next week.

Very disappointed
Dr. Olaru sent a test I did not need or request, for which I received a 500$ bill from Labcorp. I have tried to contact her office for clarification every since, and have not received any response or call back. I am quite disappointed.

The care & professionalism Dr. Olura provides is exemplary. She listens to any concerns or questions you may have. She also questions any changes a patient may have noticed. She follows up with testing if necessary. I'm very pleased to have her as my Dr.
