Dr. Galina Koldoba, MD

Dr. Koldoba is one of the best physicians I've ever had. She takes the time to REALLY listen and then asks as many questions of you as are necessary to be sure she has heard what you are saying. I kind of defaulted to her a number of years ago after three previous doctors had left the clinic for various reasons. By no means am I glad they left, but had they not, I would not have wended up with her.

I had been seeing her for about a year. She doesn't pay attention. She doesn't listen and just goes with what she knows. She was condescending and flippant about health concerns that are real and valid in my field. When I asked about low T numbers she said she wasn't concerned, but after doing some research on the standards at other clinics, where I sat on the graph was unacceptable anywhere else. Your care is not number one, and that is a problem.

She yelled at me during the appointment for "not taking better care of myself". She ran a panel of blood work. When results came in, she focused on ONE result, triglycerides, which were very high. When I questioned the A1C results of 7.3 and specifically asked if I was a Type One Diabetic due to family history in my chart. I was told the Doctor was NOT concerned about those results. I asked a second time with a High A1C, am I T1D? Again was told that "the doctor wasn't concerned about it". I was told later that had she treated BOTH her concern and mine, my overall numbers that she was concerned about (triglycerides) would have come down much sooner if she would have cared at all. I would not recommend her at all. She was absolutely rude, scolding me for not taking care of myself but then when presented with results, she did nothing. Correctly diagnosed later as a Type One Diabetic. I have never forgotten her name, attitude and lack of concern. She need to retire.
