Not impressed
Dr Tesfa diagnosed my dad with Lewy Body dementia in January 2023. He gave him the standard dementia test and watched him walk. Lewy Body dementia is probably one of the most terrible neurological diseases you can have, so my mom took my dad to get a second opinion. This place diagnosed him with vascular dementia. When my mom returned to Dr Tesfa for another appointment with my dad, Dr Tesfa was visibly angry that she was questioning his diagnosis. Told them that “they don’t know what they are talking about”! He recommended my dad have an MRI of his brain. When my mom called back to talk about doing a scan, Tesfa had decided HE wanted a CT scan. My mom was not comfortable with the radiation to my dad’s brain and requested an MRI- exactly what he had originally suggested. Tesfa refused and their follow up appointment was cancelled online without the courtesy of a call. Dad died and we autopsied his brain and he did NOT have Lewy Body- he had Alzheimers. Super arrogant and WRONG! Retire!

Dr. Tesfa cared for both my mother and my husband. He is truly a very intelligent, caring gentleman. He diagnosed my husband's Parkinson's very quickly - by having him walk down the hall! He did not swing his right arm, which neither of us had noticed, but is an early sign of Parkinson's. Dr. Tesfa never acted like he was in a hurry, but sat and listened to all our concerns. I’ve been his patient for over 10 years, his caring and mannerisms surpasses any other doctor I see. He listens and that’s what’s needed when you go through the pain I have...he’s easygoing and his staff is amazing especially Angie she also genuinely cares for others. All the staff is great the receptionist always greets me by my name even before I sign in..I’m thankful for this doctor and his staff.

I have been under the care of Dr.Tefsa for several years, during that time he has provided excellent care for my advanced neurological disease. He has greatly improved my quality of life and I am forever grateful for his professional and compassionate care - the end result of his dedicated attention to my needs exceeds all of the results of the medical care I had previously received from highly regarded neurologists and surgeons. They produced no improvements - Dr. Tefsa significantly improved my quality of life. For the record, I provided this review voluntarily. I am under no obligation to any person or company to submit this review. Alex Webb SR.

Lousy office staff. My primary care physician sent a referral. it took his office over two weeks or respond to me and then called to tell me that they have decided not to take any more patients from blue Cross blue shield of Texas. All the while I've been waiting along with my orthopedic surgeon for this office visit so I can get surgery done on my back which is much needed due to the fact I'm in great pain. This office cared little about that I just wasted over two weeks of my life and now I'm going to have to wait weeks to be able to get into another neurosurgeon thanks a lot Dr Tesfa !

Best Neurologist by far that i have come across in 30 plus years. He talks to you, he listens to you, He does not order any unnecessary tests, he is on point and precise. He does not rush you, gives you all the needed time and attention. If you are a person living with epilepsy, stop searching and make your appointment now. Awesome Doctor.

HORRIBLE Neurologist!!!!!!! And office staff!!!! My husband had a seizure and got admitted through the ER. Dr. Tesfa was on call. Didn’t even come to see him in the hospital. Made us wait another day to read EEG because he had already left the hospital making my husband stay another night in the hospital. Had to go to his office and demand the EEG be read. My husband continues to have seizures. Does not want to see him for 6 months despite ongoing issues. Husband has cancer. Dr is unethical

I see Dr. Tesfa for my Parkinson's disease. He gave me a very thorough exam and explained a lot about my condition and what I could expect from the medicine. I've been seeing his nurse practitioner, Amy Lewis, for my last few visits. I like Amy a lot. She talks on my level and tells me what exercises I should and should not do. I have not experienced extremely long wait times.

I am glad I was referred to Dr. Tesfa for my lumbar spine problem. The office staff is very friendly and Dr. Tesfa is professional and took the time to investigate my trouble. The doctor reviewed my MRI with me and explained the findings as he pointed out the problems shown on the MRI screen view. The office visit was efficient and the subsequent referral appointments were made seemlessly.

Worst Neurologist Ever. Doesn't listen or try to find the source of the problem, just pushes meds, meds and more meds. Lied on visit report, said "patient doing well" which was SO wrong. Was he not listening during the appointment??? Asked him to fill out FMLA paperwork, charges $80 just to fill it out. Then refused because I questioned another medication. If your problem is too complicated, he's not interested. Don't waste your time or money here. Time for him to retire.

He ignored my symptoms and everything I said and just wanted to push a migraine diagnosis. I went to other specialists and found out I have an autoimmune condition. I can't imagine the problems his meds would have caused me if I had followed his recommendations. If you have a migraine or think you might, then maybe go to him (even though he doesn't listen, has a terrible bedside manner, and his staff is rude too)--but if you don't think you have a migraine, go eslewhere.

Dr saw my mother while she was in the hospital. His bed side manner is terrible. I work in healthcare and I've never experienced a consultation like we did. My mom felt embarrassed, stupid and confused afterwards. He wasn't compassionate at all. We will be getting a second opinion. I would send anyone I know to him.

He himself is a decent doctor. Problem is more staff, scheduling and time management. No communication when doctor is running late. Waited almost 2 hours past appointment time just to get to wait in exam room to wait some more. My mother suffers from Dementia and got real worked up while waiting in the small exam room after an hour and 30 in the waiting room. No concern or communication shown by staff. A little would have gone a long way. This is the second doctor from that group we tried.
