Dr Hu is very good and I trusted him with my eye care. The issue I have is the 2 hours of waiting in the secondary waiting room on the majority of the visits. If you are scheduled for 8:30AM, I expect to be seen and gone in an hour. Waiting to see the doctor until 10:30 or 11:00 when your appointment is for 8:30 is ridiculous.. My time is valuable too. I left this provider for another one.

I have never been as impressed with any doctor that I’ve ever known! In addition Stephanie, I believe the Surgery Scheduler, was equally impressive. My son developed a corneal ulcer in Belize where he was told he could lose his eye if he did not fly back to the USA and get treated immediately. He was on a flight back that same day to the closest city we could find in the United States, Dallas. We are from Denver, after calling multiple Ophthalmologist long distance, I finally called Dr. Hu’s office and talk to Stephanie, she understood the severity and danger of my son’s condition and relayed it to Dr. Hu. Doctor Hu volunteered to see my son late in the night after attending a previously scheduled event. Then, before their meeting he had a special medications delivered to the hotel where my son would be staying. My son met with Dr. Hu over the next few days. During those visits he was personable, knowledgeable an probably saved my my son from being blind.

Dr. Hu installed a multifocal lens in my eye which caused damage to my retina. Mulifocal lenses are not reccomended for patients who are very nearsighted. My prescription is 12 diopters.

The office was nice and the techs were nice as well. Was very disappointed with the appointment by Dr. Hu. He never came in to talk with me himself, just told the tech to tell me what he said. Felt very dismissed and like I did not matter. I hope others have a better experience than I did though.

Dr. Hu put a Crystalens implant in my eye that was the wrong strength. It was so completely wrong that I couldn’t see from the eye. He attempted to correct his mistake with PRK and damaged my cornea so badly that I required a cornea transplant by another doctor. I can see clearly from the eye only when items are 4 inches from my eye or when I wear a high-powered contact lens. The cornea transplant was successful but leaves me using 5 different eye drops twice a day and because of the steroid drops, I’ve been diagnosed with glaucoma only in that eye. I’d avoid that cataract surgery factory like the plague if I were you.

Exceptionally professional staff and doctor. My results exceeded any expectations I had. Even my regular eye doctor is very very happy with the outcome of my procedure. I have 20/20 vision and can read at any distance now. I don't think anyone can beat that. Probably the best money I ever spent.

My preliminary visit was excellent; Dr. Hu was extremely thorough in his exam and explained everything so that my family and I understood my options. The pre-op and post op instructions were easy to read and follow. I have never felt more prepared for a procedure! I couldn't be happier with the option of Multi-focal lenses to correct my cataracts. The last surgery was on 12/26 and I couldn't be happier with the results. I have worn glasses since I was 12 years old and now I see without glasses. I can see everything, drive at night and read just about any size print. It's like a whole new world has opened up. Cataracts have turned out to be a blessing in disguise and I truly believe that Dr. Hu's skill and God's grace have given me a richer life to enjoy.

Had lasik procedure with Dr. Hu. Staff was great, helpful, friendly. Procedure went through flawlessly. Hard to describe how amazing it is to be able to see without glasses or contacts but you get the idea. I definitely recommend Texas Eye and Laser Center. Get lasik (if you are a candidate) I'm sure you won't regret it.

We want to thank Doctor Hu and his staff for taking good care of my mom. She had cataract surgery on both eyes this past month. My mother is 79 and previously had a stroke. She was very nervous about having the surgery because it is difficult for her to communicate because of the stroke. After explaining to everyone her special needs, everyone was patience and kind with her. They made her feel comfortable and everything was quick and easy. They were very professional. After see saw how the first eye surgery went she was not apprehensive in the least about getting the other one done. Coming back for the second eye was breeze. Thank you all!!!

Just had my second cataract surgery and was very pleased with the entire process. The care was great and I can already see so much better. I know the eyes will be even better as they start working together. Great care from all of those involved in both surgeries. Would recommend them for your needs.
