Dr. Melick provided an excellent analysis and explanation for my foot pain and the path forward towards relieving it. He displayed and obvious personal interested in my issues and took time to provide a thorough explanation which helped me better understand the treatment and expected results. It has now been 3 weeks since my treatment and the results and recovery are exactly as Dr. Melick explained. In addition, his staff is friendly, well organized, and I was seen on time.

He explained procedure options, took care of my issue while in the office so I didn’t have to make a return visit, and I left with clear Instructions on aftercare at home. Dr. Melick said that I should have surgery on my right food, to remove the hardware that was implanted after a bunionectomy. The pain is not constant, nor does it interfere with my ability to walk. So, I will not have surgery. I've had this body for going on 58 years, so I'm the best judge of what should or shouldn't be done. I do not believe that the hardware is causing the pain, in the first place. I believe that it is a 'function' of age. The pain is more apt to be from some mild arthritis. So, I have decided to stay with my current orthopedist. Her practice is Concord Foot and Ankle. If the pain persists or the pain becomes constant, I will see one of her colleagues

Dr. Melick showed the X-rays of my foot to me and explained what I was seeing. He has a pleasant manner, and I have confidence that he has the ability to help me to eventually recover completely from my fracture even if it is a slow process. I am happy that he is my doctor, and I would wholeheartedly recommend him to others.
