Dr. Gary Bernstein, MD

I had a positive experience my first time meeting Dr Bernstein and his team. The front desk staff member was quick to greet me and had a lovely personality which was a reassuring way to start the visit. The nurse quickly brought me to an exam room and took a thorough medical history. Dr Bernstein was patient, reviewed my full medical history, did a thorough physical examination, and explained diagnostic and treatment options in a clear manner. He was professional and considerate. I feel very comfortable continuing care with him and this team.

Office staff is incompetent. Sent prescriptions to wrong pharmacy repeatedly, even after I called to have it corrected in my file. Listed a doctor I never heard of as my primary doctor in my file instead of the one I wrote on their form. Recommended a certain prep for my procedure that would be best for me, but when my insurance wouldn't cover it, refused to make a 5 minute phone call to get it pre-authorized.

I and my whole family have been going to Dr Bernstein and now live in Florida. When I need a procedure I fly back to Long Island bc he’s the best . Most caring, most professional and I’ve gone to two different Drs here in Florida and there’s no comparison. My wife now needs a procedure and we’re calling this morning to make an appointment as she’s not comfortable with any other. Thank you Doctor

I have been a patient of Dr Bernstein for over 20 years. He has performed endoscopic procedures on me, all done with the highest level of professionalism from the doctor and his staff. Recently my father-in-law was staying at my home after heart surgery. When he experienced a GI-related problem I called Dr. B and he agreed to see my father-in-law the same day, even with his busy schedule. His assistance during this difficult time for our family was greatly appreciated. Highly recommend LIDDC!

Office is confused and incompetent. PA did physical which was not needed, especially for a second opinion. PA had trouble actually completing the physical due to a lack of skills. Dr. Bernstein himself showed a lack of deep understanding of his field. Didn't understand how mastication affected digestion, and said he couldn't/wouldn't interpret the capsule endoscopy he would have someone else look at it. They lost the form to get the video from the other doctor. No office management.

Dr Bernstein is knowledgeable, very skilled, kind and attentive.
