NEEDS IMPROVEMENT
I have had many physicians and also worked at The University of Michigan Hospital with many physicians throughout my 58 years, but I gotta tell you that Dr Edelson is the worst physician (including residents) that I have ever encountered. He wrote a prescription that even the pharmacist was confused about. I sent him a message asking him to please call me to clarify the directions. Instead he sent a nasty message. A simple 2 minute phone call would have done the trick. To this day I still do not know how much medication I am supposed to be taking. His demeanor and bedside manner need much improvement also. I’m confused whenever I see any good reviews about this doctor. Luckily I’ve only had 2 appointments with him.

Refused to advise on supplements
Took my history, rushed, left room and never came back. Was informed phy would contact me after lab results with recommendations for supplements regarding my Osteoporosis. Never responded back instead was given via my chart office policy and told to obtain further information and recommendations from my PCP. Written in a very lengthy rude toned paragraph. Would have taken less time and effort to provide the advice I sought from a specialist per my PCP. To summarize Dr Edelson did not follow through as a Specialist is suppose to.

Really happy with Dr. Edelson, kind, compassionate and listens to you. We were not rushed, he took his time to listen and explain things. Wait time was only a couple minutes. Office staff very nice and thorough. Only down side is it's hard to get an appointment as he's booked up, was worth the wait though

I have had the pleasure of having Dr. Edelson as my Endocronologist for a number of years. I look upon him as not only my Doctor, but my friend. If he tells me to do something, it gets done. His opinion is invaluable. I am an old guy. I go to a number of Doctors. He is the best. His assistant, Jane, is just as fantastic and personable.

Best doctor I have ever seen. Very strong patient advocate. He will listen to your complaints and make the proper diagnosis. Very friendly, professional staff. The office runs very smoothly. If you’re unfortunate enough to be in the need for an endocrinologist, Dr. Edelson should be your first choice.

Dr. Forbes has followed my osteoporosis for a few years. When my insurance company would not approve the treatments ordered by other physicians, Dr. Elelson and his nurse practitioner were able to convince the insurance companies why the treatments I needed are actually the only correct action for me, and what the insurance companies were overlooking. Before my treatments I broke several bones a year, now I'm much more normal.

He is a sharp doctor. However, as a new patient fresh from a life threatening issue, asking questions of him and his staff trying to figure out a new normal -back in 2015 He felt I was asking too many questions and too aggressive. I was not however mean or abusive as some patients can get. I was just trying to get answers.
