Most people will only leave a review if they aren't happy. I felt compelled to share my good experience about Dr. Markowitz and his very capable staff. I recently had cataract surgery with interocular lens implant surgery. I can only say that this has been a very good experience. He and his staff are highly knowledgeable and caring. It was worth the trips from Rehoboth to Dover to have such skill available to me for this truly important surgery. Thank you to Dr. M and his crew!

Dover, DE (Governor's Ave) office - old, and not clean. Staff friendly. I was given drops after I asked if would be able to drive - was assured yes. Dr. Markowitz came into the exam room, accompanied by two assistants. One assistant gave me additional drops without explanation. Second assistant held my head while Dr. shone very bright light into eyes - very uncomfortable and no explanation of what he was doing. Entire visit with Dr. was less than 5 minutes - felt like production line.

As a diabetic I strongly suggest seeing someone else.i had seen him for a cloudy area in my vision instead of giving me a test to check my retina for inflammation he had treated my for floaters.this went on and got worse spread to both eye's and my vision had gotten so bad I couldn't make features on someone face 2 feet away.since Jan. of 2015 my place of employment can't allow me to work because of the liability of my vision.it has taken 13 months of treatment from a great dr. I was met by an Opthalmic Technician who ran a few initial tests on me, A second Opthalmic Technician performed the actual refractive eye exam on me. Finally seeing the doctor who rushed in and out without doing any exam. There was no glaucoma test, or checking of the Optic Nerve during this exam.

I went to office 3 times in a span of 4 months. Each visit took 2 + hours. I understand sometimes things happen but not 3 times consecutively! Total disregard for other people's time...

Is aloof, disengaged, does not like his evaluation being called into question. Good surgeon, with very poor social skills in dealing with patients.
