Steer clear of this one
I went to see Petty on a referral from a friend. Petty was belligerent, and attempted to intimidate me. I am blind due a trauma at the hands of the Taliban in 2008. I have PTSD and depression. Petty lacked sincerity and attacked my integrity with malicious intent in order to defend my previous primary care professional whom I fired over a failure to refill prescriptions in a timely manner. You are better served seeking a more professional doctor.

I saw Dr. Petty at the Village Medical Center for a few years, and each visit ended with a surprise bill. The way they code their services is unlike every other doctor I've seen. I went in during normal office hours when I was sick, and they charged me for emergency services. During an annual physical, Marshall Health will not code it as a preventative physical (typically free with insurance) if you ask ANY questions even about general health. He's nice enough, but his general advice for treating medical issues is the same as what you can find online. He also requested bloodwork on a greater frequency than any other doctor I've seen, which is $$. Lastly, he doesn't take a single note when he's talking to you- doesn't even bring your file into the visit. Some might think this is good, but I'm more concerned about the accuracy of his notes. The office has lost bloodwork results that were submitted electronically and as a hard copy. The receptionists are slow, rude, and inept.

He's prejudice and puts his personal opinions above the care of his patients. I was a one visit and done with him.
