Dr. Gary Richman, MD

Really do your research on the practice and this doctor before hand. I had an awful experience, one I am still suffering from the repercussions two years later. I had fluoroscopic cervical facet block injections done, six at one time, and it was one of the worst experiences and pain I have ever experienced. Dr. Richman did not care or take the time to see how I was during or after the injections. Protocols that should have been followed were not, such as not even taking time to put topical numbing agents on before performing injections the injections. I requested medical records, including imaging from the injections, to find a Dr to help figure out what is going on, I was told by his MA I could pick everything including images and reports the following day, the following day I was then told by the same person that the Fluoroscopic images from the injections “miraculously” weren’t there any longer. So my advice: Do your research before trusting Dr. Richman & OCPBC as a whole.

He takes the time while he’s with you and asks how your really feeling. Doesn’t choose pain pills but treatment which is the right way! Great doctor!

Dr. Richman is a miracle worker, an extraordinary anesthesiologist, caring, kind person with a great “bedside manner.” I was experiencing excruciating pain for over five weeks in left side groin, hip, knee, and ankle caused from an issue with lumbar 3. The pain continued to worsen each day. Dr. Richman reviewed my file, listened, asked questions and suggested an epidural on left side of lumbar 3. The epidural relieved most of the pain instantly. I walked in with a cane, walked out holding the cane. During the procedure Dr. Richman and Tom his P.A. made me feel comfortable. Explaining each step plus both were humorous which kept my mind off the epidural. The procedure is uncomfortable, however I was in very capable and caring hands which made the procedure bearable and truly worthwhile. I highly recommend Dr. Richman, Tom and staff without any reservations.

He tried all the injections but I can't handle large doses of cortisone. I had tried tens units and many other procedures, he consistently Provided the best and newest medications without judging me For my back pain, he is honest, Diligent, the best bedside manner I have witnessed, I kid you not, the very best and I have seen many. You are not just another patient, I guarantee You will never have a less than great visit with results with Dr. Richmond. He will help you, with neck or back pain, regardless until the perfect treatment is found. He consistently treats you as a human being and not just another number. You will witness this first hand and never regret What a wonderful, patient man and Dr. I have ever met. Have seen Dr.Richman about 6 times now. My case is complicated w/ autoimmune disorders, and usually every doctor just stares at me, and says they don’t know much about that. Dr.Richman listened, reviewed my records, and continued my pain meds, but also suggested some injections which have helped Tremendously!! His office is organized and efficient, and everyone has been very helpful and friendly. Hoping I can stay with him for years.

Dr Richmand and his PA Tom were wonderful. They listened, were answering all of my questions, were friendly and supportive, and did not have a problem with my own decisions as to what I would do or not. I recommend this practice highly! And the office staff was very lovely as well.

The office is consistently timely in taking me to the exam room to meet Dr. Richman. Never ever a long wait. Has always been a positive visit. Dr. Richman has helped relieve my pain in the 2 areas I have seen him for. He is medically skilled to the highest level in his specialty. He is also a caring and nurturing MD whom lets you know by steps what he is performing to do during the procedure. Also has a great assistant that helped him during the course of the work he did on me. Would highly recommend this physician if you have chronic pain that needs attention.

Dr. Richman has been helping me with various issues for years. It’s been 10 years since I saw him for my back. The epidurals did it. Recently I’ve been there for my shoulder and after a few treatments he referred me to a surgeon. Shots weren’t helping anymore. So, I’d say he listens and does all he can to help. I recommend him to anyone looking for some pain relief.

He has made my day finding a Pain Specialist that takes the time to listen and than prescribes a medication that lets me do the normal things in life.
