Rude doctor
This Dr is very rude 2 He lacks compassion 3 I cried in his office and he told me to stop an acting like a little girl.4 I made an appointment for hpb and this man has never seen me put me on meds and never sent me for blood work to see where this hbp was coming from and said I fine and just take the medication. I asked if I can get a referral to get my blood work done and he said I did not need it. I asked at another appointment if I can get my blood work done and he said I need to make another appointment for a physical to get that done.5 I called to make an appointment to get a refill on my meds Thur zoom with he offers and the front desk girls called me and said I could not do that I would have to go to the office and the doctor took the phone from and told me I should look for another doctor and I am always arguing with him which that is lie I never have done a such thing he was very rude to me with no compassion

This Dr is on a power trip,Read the Utah reviews.
I should have read the reviews from Utah. Doctor is now in Orlando, FL This Doctor’s main goal is to make the patient make excessive appointments before he will do anything for you. He is a Smug man who thinks he has power over you if you ask for a prescription. He received $+ from the insurance company to do absolutely nothing for me except listen to my heart and lungs and send me to a lab. He is very rude and refuses to answer questions. You have to make another appointment for that. The UCF medical office refuses to return phone calls. I called 4 times asking the office manager to call me. I was trying to ask them about all these excessive appointments I was told to make for a prescription. I also asked on a voice mail to please let me know if there was a better doctor for my needs in either the Lake Nona or the Orlando office. Not one call back. When you’re told to make 4 appointments, paid for, before he will do anything for you is a big problem. Find someone else.

If you're a recovering addict going in for suboxone DO NOT go to this man. I've been on suboxone for nearly a year over this past month my cravings have increased as the effects from the suboxone decrease and for the first time in 11 months I messed up and finished my prescription a few days early my mistake entirely and I told him I would fix it. He then blatantly said no leaving me with the options of full blown withdrawal or relapse on herion. ZERO COMPASSION ZERO EMPATHY a very cold individual all around. If you value your sobriety DO NOT go to him.

After refusing to accept expensive testing he suggested he refused treatment for my condition and when I pleaded with him to understand he called me agressive, treated me with less than compassion and treated me like garbage off the street. He then called security to escort me out instead of trying to work with me and understand my situation. I cried the entire way out and have no heard from the hospital since even though the security guard said he would talk to them and make sure an appointment for testing was made. No bedside manner, no compassion or understanding. If you're from a humble unbringing, this doctor will not treat you right.

He's definitely more determined than any other doctor I've had to get to the bottom of what's wrong with me. He's not just in it for the paycheck like other doctors sometimes seem to be. Almost like he makes your best care his personal mission. I believe he treats every patient the way he would his own family.

Dr. Van Staden is the best! I have been with him for years and he has saved my life several times. I have complicated medical issues and I wouldn't trust anyone else. In regards to his negative reviews, he is honest. If you don't want someone to be straight forward with you and to sugar coat things then this is not the doctor for you. Personally, when it comes to my health, I want and need the honesty.

First of all let me say Dr. Van Staden is the best! He saved my husband's life, he caught serious problems other doctors missed. In fact he would be the only doctor my family ever go to except for two reasons, first he moved to Bountiful (he used to be in layton), and second his current staff is terrible! There used to be this one girl that kept everything together and now she is gone and it is awful dealing with the new staff. Other than that we recommend him to everyone.

Dr. Van Staden takes the time to listen to a patient's concerns and is a root cause analysis doctor. He is very personable, knowledgeable, and thourough. Sometimes this results in a slight delay from appt time but I'd rather be seen and have a good experience 10 minutes later than to be rushed for the sake of "on-schedule" churn.

Dr. Van Staden was my primary physician for awhile. There were several times he was really harsh and yelled at me. I simply was asking if a medicine had any side effects. There was another occasion where he decided to let his temperament get the best of him. I do not think he is professional, respectful, or level headed. I have known of several other people that have received the same treatment from him. There are plenty of great physicians- you don't need to settle for this one.

I am shocked!! This man was very unprofessional, rude, sarcastic and he made me feel so low and embarrassed, I had to leave. I have only been in UT for 2wks trying to est. healthcare because of the serious condition of my entire spinal column and other issues. I am on long term meds that cannot be abruptly stopped or I can die. I will be out as of tom. He told me he would not give me my meds and was cold and sarcastic about it. He had the nerve to say, "this is not a drive thru for meds" WHAT?!

Gavin was a sarcastic, rude,& un-professional MD. I felt verbally attacked by him after telling him Im disabled on ssdi & started to answer questions telling him my diagnosises,medical/family history,& list of all meds plus where go get longterm treatment. He made ignorant shallow, offensive comments to me after telling him everything.I made the appointment with him only for a follow-up after a accident & hospitalized with a fractutrd back, sliped discs.never looked at my back,&hardly discussed it.

I left his office in tears this week. He was so rude and condescending. He made very rude and unsolicited remarks about my weight without even asking what my diet or eating habits consisted of. I am a small famed woman who has never weighed more than 120 lbs and am currently 112 lbs. He got in my face and said that I was extreme malnourished, and needed more protein and that was why I had broken my ankle, which was not even the reason I was there to see him. Ha was short, rude and belittling.
