I may be seven years late but I’m very thankful I found Dr. Dean upon arriving in Tucson. She has been so kind, reassuring, validating & supportive. She thrives in cultivating emotional intimacy with her patients simply by being an undeniably inherently good natured, joyful and loving person. Dr. Dean’s sense of humor, wit and clever light-hearted charm have gone a long way with me but she’s also attuned to the delicate balance of knowing when I’m struggling and need support. She checks all the boxes and everything I could ask for in a doctor on the scales of ethics, morals, and having the most humane approach in practicing medicine rather than just churning “office visit” billing codes through the machine that is our healthcare system. I strongly urge anyone with a history of medical trauma around feeling unheard, unseen and invalidated by medical professionals to give Dr. Dean a chance. She’s radiant, incandescent and absolutely delightful! 1,000 characters is injustice :)))

Top Tier
Dr. Dean is phenomenal. I have a lot of anxiety surrounding going to the gynecologist due to traumatic past experiences. However, Dr. Dean was warm and comforting. She thoroughly explained everything. Listened to my concerns. Provided feedback and solutions. She was gentle with her approach and made sure I was good the entire time. She will be my gynecologist for as long as I’m living in Arizona. She’s one of the best doctors that I’ve had in my almost 38 years on this earth. I highly recommend her. She’s definitely worth the wait.

Dismissive and rude
Between the incredibly passive aggressive and rude treatment by Barbara (assistant/desk person?), and Dr Dean's refusal to run test for the problem my family member had multiple symptoms of.... Looks like we are forced to seek a second opinion from an office that is less rude, and more competent.

Absolutely best OB in Arizona
Dr. Dean is absolutely the most wonderful provider I’ve ever been treated by. Her bedside manner goes above and beyond 5 stars. Her cheerful welcoming approach says it all. She’s beautiful inside and out. The awards all around multiple rooms is an understatement. She’s booked quite out but totally worth the wait. Staff and nurse practitioner also amazing.

correction
I wrote an email earlier about being in a lot of pain when I got a pelvic exam by Dr. Dean. I feel bad about saying that now. Everybody has their own level of pain and it isn't Dr. Dean's fault that mine apparently is low. She really is a terrific doctor and such a kind person. I would hate for anybody not to see her because of what I said previously. I would highly recommend her.

I went to Dr. Dean as a new patient after reading all of the amazing reviews. I have not seen an OB/GYN in almost 3 years and was very nervous! Dr. Dean was just as amazing as everyone said. She is very professional but also has a warm and comforting demeanor. She listened to my concerns and communicated with me through every step of the visit. She explained the reasoning behind her recommendations and I felt she genuinely listened to my questions/concerns. I would definitely recommend Dr. Dean as an OB/GYN.

One of the greatest doctors I have encountered!!! I absolutely love Dr. Dean and Amber!!! Several friends recommended her while I was pregnant, and I will shout her praises to anyone looking for phenomenal, caring, dedicated, competent, and incredible care. I wanted to deliver without medication, and Dr. Dean and Amber helped support my wishes. Thank you!!! I am even excited to go back for my well check!

Dr. Dean was on call when I went in to deliver my first baby. If i would have known how amazing she is as a doctor i would have picked her to be my doctor through out my pregnancy. She was easy to talk with, super knowledgeable, and when it came to coaching me through the delivery, I dont think i could have possibly had some one better than her!
