Best rheumatology doctor ever
It has been more years than I can count since I had such a positive visit with a doctor! Dr. Watterson was very caring, he took his time, and he literally made me feel like I was the only patient in the world at that moment. I've not had such a comprehensive exam and questions answered as I did with this doctor. I have literally been thanking God for leading me to this person! I have not felt as optimistic and hopeful about my health as I do now and it's all thanks to this man! Best of all? He is a very Christian man who is not afraid to share his faith!!!

Staff is AWFUL
I sent new patient paperwork in, referral and all rheumatology records within first week of initial contact. In the last three months, I have contacted the office numerous times. They verified that they received all records and they would contact me to schedule appointment. It never happened. The last time I called I was told to leave a message for the office manager and she would definitely get back with me. Of course, she didn't. Horrible experience and still have not gotten a return call despite numerous messages. I had to go back to my rheumatologist in Huntsville. Even though it is now a 2 hour drive for me, at least they are professional and dependable. I definitely would not recommend for anyone with a serious autoimmune disease who needs prescriptions and monitoring.

Short and Rude with patients.
My first visit was ok but as I returned he was rude, short, and he would not listen to me if I had input or questions. Staff was nice but strong perfume or cologne worn by employees was terrible.

Very thorough and attentive, not in a hurry. He didn't just treat me like a number. He was very caring & concerned about my health. He's not a Dr. who believes in just giving me another pill to mask the pain, which I really appreciated! He's very knowledgeable about fibromyalgia & I learned some things I wasn't aware of. He asked if he could pray for me, which I really loved about him! He acknowledged that the Lord is the healer & he's only the instrument! Looking forward to my next appointment!

I would not recommend Dr. Watterson because he pushes his opinions onto patients. If the patient has a complaint or concern he gets rude and dismisses them. And I am speaking from personal experience.
