I came for annual exam. I was seen by a doctor for 2 minutes. She didn’t bother to do an annual exam like suppose to be, which includes Breast exams and more. I had an ultrasound as well. The technician was so unprofessional, it was obvious she hated this job. I would never go again to this office. Patients are misdiagnosed due to such annual exams.

Dr. Bekker is professional and capable. Her attitude was friendly. The staff was also friendly and helpful. I highly recommend this practice.

The doctor was ok, but the appointment was really rushed. She spent maybe 2 minutes with me. The nurse was the only person who was nice and friendly. The front desk ladies are just awful- incredibly rude and unhelpful, I honestly don't know what they get paid for as they treat the patients like dirt. The billing system is messed up: you have to pay cash upfront for the visit and the labs, however, the lab then bills you again. The front desk monsters say to ignore the bills, but 3.5 months later the lab is still not paid, and instead of checking what happened the front desk people tell you to get lost and just hang up on you. Awful. Save your nerves and avoid this place at all cost unless you want to be treated poorly and pay for the same thing twice.

The staff is astoundingly rude in this office. I came in for my visit and the doctor did not see me after the test. I had further questions and wasn't allowed to see the doctor to address them. I tried to speak to the doctor again via phone and ask the question as well as a question regarding medication that I was prescribed without any discussion. Again, the receptionist is not letting that happen. There's no reason I have to go all the way there AGAIN to speak with the doctor since I was in the office the first time and was stopped from doing so. This is absolutely unacceptable and disgusting treatment of patients. I hope the doctor will address these issues and call. Otherwise, I would like proof that the receptionist is an MD.

Doctors Bekker and Akselrod performed a bilateral Salpingectomy on me several years ago. The purpose of that surgery was to maximize my chances to safely achieve pregnancy via IVF, since both my Fallopian tubes had chronic inflammation. After a total of 11 unsuccessful IVF cycles (2 of the latest using donor eggs), I had developed an ovarian cyst and was advised to have it surgically removed. To my utter disbelief I was informed by my current doctor that during the ovarian cystectomy surgery they discovered that a piece of chronically inflamed Fallopian tube was still there and was likely the reason all of our IVF attempts failed. Fortunately for Dr. Bekker and Dr. Akselrod, the statute of limitations for this negligence has expired. My reason for writing this review is hope to prevent such tragedy from happening to others. You will probably be safe if all you need is a routine pap smear test but for anything more serious do your research diligently and go elsewhere.

Very rude staff, unprofessional and disrespectful.

Dr. Bekker is very good, polite, pleasant, professional doctor, BUT Front Desk WOMEN (morning staff) are HORRIBLE (!!!), making scandals, interrupting conversation, putting on hold and never returning back to you, very rude to young people and especially to old people, pushing out clients from the office and definitely loosing them, but they do not care...People, who hate clients, must stay away from working at the Front Desk! I feel bad about the Advanced Gynecology (Sheepshead Bay) Office.
