Dr. Baylor and Meghan Coffey, P. A.
I have been a patient at Blue Ridge Pain Management for the last 16-years. My experience with Meghan Coffey, P. A. is wonderful! She listens and understands everything, even issues that have nothing to do with pain. Meghan is simply the best! I love her.Dr. Baylor treats my back and neck problems via injections. I call him Dr. “no pain” Baylor as he very gentle and always seems to ‘hit’ the mark so that I am pain free for a long time! I would never go to any other practice. He is very trustworthy and highly intelligent.Trust me, you cannot go wrong by choosing this practice and I am extremely selective about the physicians that I will even consider!

Dr Baker is the dirtest lieing Dr I have ever visited. He gave me 2 shots in my head that ruined my life . He then ran to his friend the Common Wealth of Salem Va . for procetchion . I was order by the Common wealth lawer not to call ,write or visit his office again or I would have a restraining order put against me. I would trust a Rattle Snake before Baylor .

My husband is terminally ill with stage four metastatic cancer. He has been going to Dr Baylor for help. After every appointment my husband feels degraded, mistrusted, ignored, and depressed. Dr Baylor seems to only want to push for pumps and more scans. The Cancer clinic already provides all the information necessary for Dr Baylor to do his job. But he doesn't seem interested in upholding the Hippocratic oath. He is the opposite of compassionate.

Served our Country and serves those in pain now!
Every office is extremely clean. The ladies up front are efficient and friendly. The nurses are caring and considerate. When I first met Dr. Baylor, I didn't know what to think, but then I found out he cared for our servicemen and women during the war; so pain patients are a walk in the park for such a heroic individual. Don't misunderstand me though, whenever he has performed a procedure on me, he is extra dedicated to making my pain better, and doing so with a profound sense of empathy. He has an excellent bedside manner. Another amazing thing about Dr. Baylor's office - and I've dealt with one other pain doctor - is I can email him through the offices app and my issue will be handled within a day or sooner. To me, that's amazing.

Great Doctor
I drive over an hour to see Dr Baylor and his nurse Jessica. The office is always very clean, nurses are nice, kind and helpful. They have a good attitude and always professional. Dr Baylor cares about me and shows empathy when I tell him my issues and talk about what does and don’t help or work. I believe in him enough to recommend two friends and family members there.

Give him a chance- He's a good Doctor
My first appointment with Dr. Baylor, I will admit, I wasn't sure I was going to like him. Over the last year or so, I've gotten to know him and truly believe he has your best interest at heart. I have no complaints about him or his nurses. The only complaint I do have is you can never get anyone on the phone when you call about canceling an appointment or medication questions and long wait times.

Careful and caring
Dr Baylor’s skill at locating pain centers an reducing pain is exceptional. His administrative staff however, is disrespectful to each other and the office seems chaotic. The tension among the team bleeds into the treatment areas.

Instead of objective information concerning my diagnosis he tried to instill fear and accept a very invasive solution prior to less aggressive therapies. Time has proven my decision to abandon him was correct

Frequently dismisses or ignores you.
Changes medications with no conversation or warning. Hands down the worst nerve blocks I have ever had- more like torture. Other providers have provided relief with procedures but, not at this office. Several staff members are rude.

Incompetent
He gave me injections six inches above my compressed vertebrae (thoracic) because he was reading my records from another Lewis Gale doctor from a month prior for an entirely different injury (cervical). He realized it but never admitted the mistake. He should not have a license to practice medicine in my opinion. I ended up going to Duke to get competent help.

Long Wait Then Rushed
W are required to arrive 15min early, then I have waited as long as 1hr before seeing the Dr. Usually only spends 3-5 minutes with me. Has made several mistakes on prescriptions that are sent over. I just cant use this place anymore and will be looking for a new pain management center.

Dr. Baylor made medication changes in my medical health without ever seeing me. Then he refused to speak to me on the phone regarding it and told me he would only speak to me if I had an appointment. I waited 3 long painful weeks for my appt and he refused to see me speak to me or treat me because I did not have a driver for my iv infusion that he told Emma Perdue his P.A to do 3 weeks prior knowing I had no driver. He would not even speak with my doctor when she called his office and he will not let me be rescheduled to see him nor will he let the office schedule me with another doctor in their practice leaving me in pain and needing help and him as a "physician" wont help me. He is rude unprofessional and has a highly elevated opinion of himself and he does not think fibromyalgia is a real condition needing medication to help with! If you have fibromyalgia he tells u to exercise as does Emma Perdue. Find another office with doctors that are in this profession for the right reason.

Been seeing Dr. Baylor for 15 years and he get's worse. I can't see a new doctor because of insurance. Prescriptions are messed up every month. Just recently pain meds were almost 2 weeks late being filled. He has a new nurse who does not do her job either. He is always making mistakes and I just don't trust him.
