Wrong Patient, Wrong Surgery
Dr. Converse saw my husband and I together. He switched our MRIs and refused to check when we said we thought he did based on a prior diagnosis of my husband's deviated septum. (The switch has since been proven by another set of MRIs by another provider.) He could have validated just by looking in our noses, which he never did even though our visit was for sinus complaints. He diagnosed me as having menstrual issues based on my husband's MRI. He gave my husband a balloon sinuplasty based on my MRI when it turns out my issue is a secondary ostium with recirculating mucus causing pansinusitis. So he did the wrong surgery anyway. He refused to fix my husband's severly deviated septum because it wasn't justified by my MRI. So even if you ignore that he applied the MRI to the wrong person, he still misdiagnosed the MRIs and performed a surgery that would fix the actual issue!

About a decade ago Dr Converse performed surgery on me, removing a massive nasal polyp (one of the largest he had ever seen). The polyp had grown so large a sac became visible in my throat and severely obstructed my airflow. In addition to the polyp removal Dr Converse had to repair a deviated septum (which thankfully greatly improved my breathing). While I wasn’t too happy that my nose became visibly wider as a result of the septum procedure, I assume this was necessary to widen the nasal cavity. The doctor was also accommodating to my financial situation at the time. I highly recommend his and his staff’s services and thank them for their work. While I’ve had horrible experiences with doctors over the years (who have repeatedly misdiagnosed my ongoing chronic pain issues and put me on numerous ineffective medications that have only worsened my conditions), I consider surgeons such as Dr Converse to be life savers.

There are not enough words to describe the wonderful and thoughtful treatment, Dr. Converse showed me. I was totally comfortable and felt safe and secure every step of the way. Wonderful bedside manner. Very caring. Best doctor of my whole. Everything I have just said is absolute truth. Five stars is not enough.

Dr. Converse came recommended to us by two different medical professionals. So glad we were able to get in to see this high skilled physician. Can't say enough good about his care or his bedside manner. Rarely have I experienced such attentiveness from a doctor or his staff! The support staff in the office is even pleasant. Phone calls returned. Care above and beyond! Seems like I have been transported back in time. Common sense and common courtesy reign in this office.

Dr. Converse is a blessing. I have been his patient for five years. I went to him with completely stopped up sinuses and felt like I was drowning. I had no previous sinus issues. He has performed a deviated septum repair and polyp removal, turbinate reduction, and most recently a balloon sinusplasty. I have the utmost respect for him. He is knowledgeable, kind, attentive, and thoroughly explains all options. There are many doctors but I have not found a better example of a true physician.

When your doctor comes in smiling, shaking your hand and spending time LISTENING to you instead of with his nose in the computer, you know you are at a good place.

Would not recommend. He suggested treatment that has been proven by medical university studies to not be effective for exact condition like I had. Concerned that profit was put before what was best for patient.

I do not feel he listens to his patients in my experience with him, I would rather have Dr. Paffarath back. My next appointment I will be searching for another doctor. My last visit he was in and out did not seem though he did not have time to explain the follow up. Seems like he was just in a hurry.

I have suffered for years with allergies and chronic sinus infections. Dr. Converse suggested the balloon sinuplasty and gave me all the information to research about it. I went ahead with the procedure and I am incredibly thankful I did! I am now able to breathe through my nose better than I have been able to in years. My sinuses have completely cleared. The recovery time was minimal. Dr. Converse is amazing! I highly recommend him for this procedure if you are a chronic sufferer like I was.
