Dr. George Halko, MD

Dr. Halko is an extremely intelligent, kind and caring physician with a vast knowledge of Rheumatology. He makes himself available to his patients 24/7, so if I am having a flare-up, I know he will quickly and happily respond. This physician will care for you as if you are his own family member. As an RN, I have seen many fair or mediocre Drs, and I can quickly spot a great physician. Dr. Halko always floors me with his knowledge of the Autoimmune system and his patience and caring ways. If you are looking for a great Rheumatologist, Dr. Halko should be your first choice. Grateful to have him as my physician.

I moved to New Jersey from Pennsylvania and needed to find a rheumatologist. From my first phone call to Dr. Halko's office I felt respected and listened to. Pat Halko (his wife) is as compassionate and caring as Dr. Halko is...they are a great team! Dr. Halko spends quality time with me during my appointments, and he has diagnosed and treated my condition since my first visit. I feel better than I have in a long time! I definitely recommend Dr. Halko.

Dr Halko is professional, knowledgeable. For two years I went to many Rheumatologists and suffered greatly. After trying atleast 5 Rheumatologists I decided to try one last time..From the minute I called the office the answer was clear. They have treated me with respect and have my disease under control. Truly amazing! Dr. Halko is extremely knowledgeable, patient and trustworthy. He is one of the best doctors I’ve ever seen. His bedside manner is exceptional and he took the time to really listen to my concerns. Pat is also great!

Dr. Halko made my son go to the surgery center (put on a gown, get and IV, sedative in his IV, spend 1/2 a day there) for a procedure that took 3 minutes and a tiny bandaid - NO stitches. His current doctor does those procedures in his office. JDr. Halko was able to make 10x more money by doing that in a surgery center and the facility was able to bill our insurance and make a profit at our expense.

Halko amputated my finger and NEVER mentioned it during our consultation. I found out when my bandage was removed and learned from my medical records that he planned it before he met me. After the surgery he didn't talk to my family or me. He just walked out.

Had me do unnecessary expensive tests. He was not very helpful and he is very abrupt.

I have a rare autoinflammatory disease, and Dr. Halko has worked his butt off for me. His care has significantly improved my life.

I had excellent care from Dr. Halko all the way back in 2001. I am recently experiencing new symptoms 15 years later in another state. I called the office and they were VERY helpful in providing info about my care back then. Dr. Halko was always patient, took his time to listen to me, and thought "outside of the box" rather than being dismissive as so many providers can be now. Thanks!!!!
