Dr. Lessman labeled my 19 year old son as "obese" and refused to recode billing so expensive lab work was not covered by my insurance. My son initially saw Dr. Lessmann to establish as a new patient and do a preventative annual check up with routine labs. My son is 5'11" and has a BMI of 12% with a 31" waistline, so perhaps obese by medical definition but certainly not obese. Dr. Lessman and Aurora's refusal to recode the lab work as preventative rather than the obese label cost me $284 out of pocket.
