He's great. Office staff is terrible
Paletta is a skilled and trusted surgeon. The surgery went well and everything healed perfectll. He's kind and has a decent bedside manor. However, the office staff are truly some of the rudest and most dismissive people I have ever dealt with. It's just miserable any time you have to call the office or deal with them in any way.

'Doctor' can't keep his word
Committed to doing my surgery and within an hour of waiting in the waiting room (talking to no one)- sent down his nurse practitioner to cancel my surgery and refused to recommend a different doctor

Very unprofessional
I was constantly given conflicting information.Cancelled my surgery the day before. I went still so I could hopefully speak to him. He came out very aggressive, I calmed him down, he agreed I had been given lots of misinformation- shook my hand and committed to do my surgery (possibly even the same day if mercy would let him). Said 'wait right here- might take a while but don't leave'Then his NP Shanna came down with a manager and told me I would need to find a different hospital?? I asked why, tried to clear the air, even mentioned that Paletta said he could do it today- to which Shanna responded 'mercy wouldn't let him'....So it was clear he would have done it that day to me if Shanna didn't stop him...Shanna was upset about me 'asking questions aggressively' (on my first visit, 3 weeks prior to my surgery day). I'm not sure why they continued to waste my time and money afterwards if that was really the issueHe also refused to recommend another surgeon- which is against al

Very unprofessional
Cancelled my surgery 11 hours before due to a 'miscommunication' that allegedly happened 3 weeks prior on my first visit. Refused to reccomend a different surgeon, like he promised, then tried to get me to delete reviews.

Terrible Expereince!
Dr. Paletta did not take our concerns seriously. My son had ACL reconstruction surgery and after he was cleared for physical activity, he was experiencing stability issues with his surgically repaired knee. We had a couple other medical professionals express concerns with the stability as well. We shared this with Dr. Paletta and he said everything was fine and structurally sound with his knee. A couple months later, we find out that my son's ACL is torn again along with his meniscus. I strongly believe this could have been prevented if Dr. Paletta listened to our concerns and took them seriously! I felt like he expressed little to no interest with what we would tell him during some appointments and as a result, my son is having a second ACL surgery in a span of 14 months. Thankfully, we have found an orthopedic surgeon that listens to us and they will be performing the second surgery. I would NOT recommend Dr. Paletta!

Great doctor!
Our son, currently sees Dr Paletta for a torn UCL baseball injury. He has had great communication along the way and was able to present all of the treatment options. He has been wonderful answering all of our questions and helping our son find a great Physical Therapy team to rebuild his strength. He is well on his way to a great recovery. I am very thankful we were given his name and contact information by a couple of families after our sons baseball injury. I would highly recommend him for any elbow or shoulder issues due to sports injuries.

As someone who knows Dr. Paletta from from afar, but also from a somewhat unique perspective I have had the advantage of a bit of an insiders view. His level of professionalism and refusal to be influenced by insurance companies or the questionable opinions of other physicians has gained him much respect from me. He is solely led by the scientific and medical evidence available to him to render the best possible outcome for the patient while giving multiple options the patient can decide on.. You can be assured he will truly look out for YOUR best interest while weighing all the information he has at his disposal and with holding judgement where he lacks such concrete medical or scientific evidence. If there is something that can be done, he will figure it out and do what he can to see it happens.

Dr. Paletta is simply the best! My son had a football injury his JR year of HS. I was a nervous wreck!! He spent plenty of time explaining our results of imaging tests and what would happen during surgery and what to expect during recovery. His bedside manner is amazing, his concern his heartfelt. He eased my worried mind. He is extremely patient and kind and answered all of my many questions with total patience and clarity.
