The Best ER MD...
The atmosphere in the hospital's ER had improved over my last visit. The unit had been reorganized to be more patient-friendly. Dr. Stapleton was the center of this unlikely oasis of calm. He was an excellent diagnostician as well as being relaxed, friendly and humaine. He was miles ahead of what usually passes for an Emergency Physician in that hospital.

More concerned about ordering a meatball sub
I have a history of pre-cancerous cells, ovarian cysts, and Bartholin's cysts. On September 8th I noticed I had a swollen lymph node on my left inguinal lymph node (ive never had an issue there before). I've let it go for a week now and it has not subsided; in fact it has become more painful George Stapleton I show him where the lump is, which I clearly already know it's a swollen lymph node. He reaches down to touch it and says, "OH yes, I think that's a swollen lymph node! It could be an abscess or an infection, but follow up with your GYN. You can try an ice pack for your discomfort, but it probably won't help." Then issues a discharge. After he left my side he was on the phone ordering his meatball sub. George according to reviews you were excellent is 2015 and prior; now I suggest you reevaluate what it means to be a doctor, especially a ED doctor. Albany Med has lost me as a patient as well as anyone associated.

He is great! Friendly, knowledgeable, respectful. Willing to take the time to answer questions thoroughly, even when he clearly has a lot to do. Highly recommended.

One star is a gift. I found him rude, condescending and rushed. He had no bedside manner with my 84 year old parents. Not listening to my mother's comments about my father's health and was dismissive. When I, as their daughter, asked a question about after care he was flippant and condescending. My parents will never go back to Columbia Memorial . If you have the unfortunate of encountering his so called physician, ask for someone else.

He is an alarmist and uses scare tactics to justify unecessary tests and a higher bill for thr patient to pay.
