Patient
Drs. Gwynn & Silverboard along with Caroline their nurse practitioner use as much thorough data analysis as is currently available. Lab chemistry and response testing with explanation of the reasons for the relevance of why the data is collected along with a review of what the data seems to suggest is clearly presented. Subsequently, modern options to attack the diagnostically-indicated disease or diseases that seem to be evident, with perspective to ongoing research advancements that may become available in the future are plained with willingness to accept questions from patients about the recommended therapeutic regimens and their best desired goals. This is top-notch medical service to patients and their families and friends in dealing with the most complex categories of neural network pathologies, and it's cutting-edge impressive as it advances our efforts to achieve the best medical outcomes. Thank you for your significant contributions to high quality medical care in Atlanta.

My experience at Dr. Silverboard’s practice was one of the most frustrating experiences I have had on my medical journey. He did not take my concerns seriously in the slightest and told me to “maybe try yoga” and insisted that since I was “young and beautiful, everything will be okay”. I have never felt more uncomfortable or discredited in my life. After getting a second opinion at Emory it turns out I have a serious epileptic condition that could be life threatening. If you are looking for a neurologist I suggest you go elsewhere.

Any poor review of Dr. Silverboard is misleading. Dr. Silverboard is a wonderful, competent, and caring physician. As a patient of his for several years, I will say that the candor and kindness he has afforded me, has inspired me to want to be a doctor. Regardless of what anyone else says, in my experience, Dr. Silverboard listens to your concerns, he asks relevant questions, and the vast majority of the time, you leave his office feeling like you have been well taken care of. I hope he doesn't retire anytime soon.

I had my first tele-medicine with Dr. Gerald Silverboard. Surprisingly it was very helpful. He asked me may questions and was very compassionate. I was very appreciative during this visit at such a difficult time. My problems were resolved.

I visited Dr. Silverboard after having three strokes that had previously been misdiagnosed as migraines. Dr. Silverboard immediately recognized my symptoms as a stroke. Dr. Silverboard went above and beyond the call of duty by fitting me in the same day, quickly scheduling an MRI/MRA (which he had to encourage my insurance company to approve on the same day), getting me checked in to the ER, and then pushing for all the tests necessary to prove that I had a PFO, which needed to be closed. I honestly don't know what I would have done without Dr. Silverboard's help during this time; I truly feel like he has been my biggest advocate. -Kelli Hardin

Dr. Silverboard healed my neurologic condition! I was severely affected by my peripheral neuropathy that had worsened over the last decade. Dr. Silverboard considered a plethora of possibilities and was thorough enough to gather test results from four MRI studies and from nerve transmission tests. After recommending that I correct my B-12 deficiency, reduce my sugar intake to improve my pre-diabetic tendencies, and lower my statin drug dosage, I was a new man! Hire this man if you ever have the need for a neurologist. I'm so grateful for him.

DR Silverboard has helped my family for years; First with my child, diagnosed with an ASTROCYTOMA at the age of two. Dr Silverboard was kind, thoughtful and caring during the years following surgery. He kept up with the drugs my son was on to control seizures, was available to "talk" whenever I needed reassuring due to the complicated diagnosis.Dr Silverboard is also on board with my husband, diagnosis ALZHEIMERS. DR Silverboard is an intricate part of our medical team. HIGHLY RECCOMEND

If I could give a zero I would. Worst experience I have ever had and his nurse is the most unprofessional and rude person I have spoken with. You would think that the staff would be more compassionate being this is a pediatric neurology office, but they were the farthest thing from it. I guess I should have been weary when we got an apt with him much sooner than the other neurologist with longer wait lists.

Dr. Silverboard is not a part of the practice that we use on a daily basis, but happened to be the doctor on call over the weekend. My child suffered an abnormal seizure for him and his lips were blue, eyes rolled back in his head, and he wasn't breathing. When he finally came out of it, I called to speak with the on call doctor about any further precautions since this was not typical. When Dr. Silverboard called he was so rude from the start. Treated me like I was very inferior and he knew all.

My 19 year old daughter started having severe headaches when she was sitting or standing. Her doctor was stumped and sent her to Dr Silverboard. He diagnosed her within 10 mins of her visit. His office staff moved mountains to get her MRIs done immediately. The staff is friendly, yet professional. The entire staff (including Dr. Silverboard) makes themselves available. There is NO rushing through your appointment. Dr Silverboard listened and answered all my questions. The staff follows up.
