Dr. Giuseppe Morelli, MD

Always stayed as long as I had questions. Guided me to make informed decisions. I am 1yr 6mos.after transplant. Doing very well. Dr. Morelli helped me and my husband through a very scary time. My procedure and healing was so much easier and quicker than we expected. It was a difficult time I kept a positive attitude that helped alot. I consider myself a success story for every one involved in my journey. Thank you very much Dr Morelli and Shands

I have end stage Cirrhosis of the liver. Dr Morelli seems very knowledgeable but spends little time explaining the what, why and how of the disease. I’ve been left to perform my own research. Everyone should do their due diligence, but I do not have a medical degree in Dr Morelli’s specific field and field and feel I should have left his consultations with better guidance and understanding. Now I am informed that he is leaving U of F. This leaves me feeling empty and alone with my disease. NO ONE from U of F HAS EVEN CALLED ME!!! Only a form letter was sent to my address. Dr Morelli seems to be a nice person and very qualified. Bottom line, he leaves with me wondering why I was even there at his consultations. All and all with my life hanging in the balance I’m not very happy. It unfortunate that U if F is the only transplant facility within reasonable driving distance that take a Medicare Advantage health plan. U of F would not be my first choice.
