While Dr. Berger has nice bedside manner, we didn't find him to be a strong internist. After lots of inaccurate assessments and poor choices on next steps, it wouldn't be prudent to recommend Dr. Berger to others.

The initial checkup was fine. I would assume that being a new patient they wanted to make an impression. HOWEVER, my follow up appointment: I arrived early for an 11:30 am appointment and waited patiently until 12:00 p.m. (30 minutes) before I approached the counter ans asked how much longer. I was told, "another 20 minutes." That would have amounted to a total 50 minute wait time. No apologies or explanations. Just a dumbfounded stare that implied I was expected to just wait. I left.

I see Dr. Berger at least once year for a routine physical. He is very thorough and checks everything possible. This year he called me at 7:15 PM on a Friday evening to tell me my blood test results. I've had other internists, but no one nearly as thorough and dedicated.
