Dr. Glenn Hoots is the best doctor I have seen.
Dr Hoots is the best doctor I have ever had. He’s the only person that is keeping me alive. It’s a shame that I have not seen a better review of him. I’m a hundred percent sure he is one of TGH and USF best doctors and I am going to say this about him. He is blunt in his words and maybe he should meet with his patients more frequently. I personally don’t think he has the time to talk with everyone he does a procedure on before he talks to them on the operating table. I only say that because of a previous review someone did. He has seen me and explained to everyone in my family about the risks and in my case he was the one who gave me a year and a half to live. He is keeping me alive with the procedures he does to me. I wouldn’t want anyone else to touch me. Every other doctor said they couldn’t do anything to help me except for him. I’m a hundred percent convinced that he is the only person who cares enough to help give me some more time and he has. He’s a great doctor.

I dont understand
This is the world I guess we live in. Was supposed to have a UAE procedure and was not prepared for the procedure at all. How can you make decisions about your healthcare without the needed information to do so? Never have spoken to Dr Hoots, was supposed to call me never has. Got all the way up fo gown slippers and bloodwork and then was told a bunch of big things like staying overnight which did not prepare for? Medication for pain was told I get meds to help with pain after not an IV drip of one of the strongest opiods put there. So much they dont prepare you for. I dont understand whats happening to medical care but its horrible. Its truly a business. No one cares. What do you do. Trying to hold on to your job, trying not to be dependent on a system, trying to just feel better. No one cares. Its not just insurance companies but providers as well

My husband had his third fistulagram at Tampa General Hospital today. Has had on-going issues with the WavelinQ. fistula. We were very nervous as he is barely 3 weeks post renal transplant. We were familiar with previous physician. As we were scheduled with another doctor, we were very troubled by Dr Hoots total lack of consideration in not meeting us either pre or post procedure. I asked repeatedly to have him meet us to no avail.
