Dr. Glenn Kolansky, MD

I have been a patient of Dr. Kolansky for over 10 years, and had Mohs surgery on my face, and because of his care, professionalism, and skill, I was able to get through the surgery with minimal discomfort and stress. I was recently diagnosed with basil cell carcinoma on a different part of my face, and again because of his care I know i will be able to get through this issue and have a successful recovery.I highly recommend Dr. Kolansky.

The provider was in the room for less than a minute. I was prescribed two creams and was then pushed to use their preferred pharmacy instead of my typical pharmacy. I had a question on directions for the creams so I called and the secretary tried to answer my question. I said I would prefer to speak with the provider or a nurse and when the nurse came on, she gave me different instructions than the secretary did. So if I did not ask to confirm, I would have been using the medication incorrectly.

Dr. Kolansky is a terrific doctor. He is very knowledgeable, and caring. He will take what ever time is necessary to explain my concerns and diagnoses.. He has successfully preformed Mohs surgery on me a number of times. I have recommended him to both family and friends.

No complaints on Dr but the women Debbie at the front desk is unprofessional and rude. She should NOT be working in healthcare.

Worst Dr ever chopped up my nose. Still have scars after a few years. Even his full body check was a joke. Can’t believe he got any good reviews!!!

Went to see Dr. Kolansky for a general skin cancer screening. He looked over my body, saw a mole that he wasn't overly concerned about, and asked if I wanted to have a biopsy done. Based on his concern level, I said "no" because I was afraid the insurance company would not cover it. He told me that the insurance company would because it's considered preventive care. Well, silly me for listening to a doctor's advice on insurance and stupid him for giving that advice in the first place. Got the biopsy done and received a large bill from both his office and the lab for the work done. Dr. Kolansky should learn to keep insurance advice to himself because patients generally trust what their doctors say based on their billing practices and experiences. I'll go somewhere else next time

Even though Dr. Kolansky wasn’t in the exam room very long, he took one look at my arm, stated what he thought it was (an allergic reaction to laundry detergent), prescribed a cream but said just change my detergent to free & clear. Did that and the condition cleared up immediately. I had gone to a different dermatologist before him who spent more time in the exam room with me, prescribed a medication that did NOTHING but make it worse, and after several months it didn’t get better, UNTIL I went to Dr. Kolansky. Also, the other dermatologist’s diagnosis was wrong. I was miserable, until I went to Dr. Kolansky. I’ll take less time with a doctor that gets it right over more time with a doctor that gets it wrong any day!

He is an excellent physician, capable of thinking outside the box to solve a problem where other doctors fail. He is generous with samples and is able to order personalized prescriptions to specifically alleviate persistent skin problems. This is a professional who really knows his “stuff” !!! I can highly recommend him and his well run office.

Dr Kolansky is without a doubt the most thorough diagnostician I ever visited. He recently took a scraping of a suspicious looking mole on my arm which after a biopsy turned out to be malignant melanoma requiring immediate surgery to have it removed. Dr Kolansky was able to discuss my case with the Surgeon and within 3 days the melanoma was removed. Dr Kolansky is the best Dermatologist I have ever been to! His diagnostic skills,immediate intervention, and the fact that he called me after the biopsy came back and personally intervened by setting up my appointment with one of the top surgeons in his field may have saved my life!

My whole family has been going to Dr. Kolansky for many years. He is one of a kind. Such a personable Dr. with the best treatments! I would recommend him to anyone!

If I could ask Medical Schools to offer a class on how to be the type of doctor everyone hopes to have in their time of medical attention, I’d tell the Medical Schools to have Dr.Kolansky teach it. Dr. Kolansky has been taking care of me and my family for many years now. He is a skilled dermatologist that treats his patients with kindness and compassion. He has performed 2 facial Mohs's surgeries on me and you couldn't tell I ever had surgery. My appointments are always quick with minimal waiting. Office staff including nurses are terrific as well.
