Lack of Emphathy and Respect Toward the Elderly
Dr. Ostriker lacks empathy and respect for the elderly. We took my 96-year-old mother for a check-up, which was scheduled for 2:30 PM. After waiting for an hour and a half to see him in the waiting area, he administered eye drops, asked her to wait, and then left. My mother had to wait another hour and a half in the exam room, but he never returned. During our wait, we observed many patients entering and leaving his other exam rooms, while we did not receive any attention. Ultimately, we decided to leave at 5:30 PM without any explanation from Dr. Ostriker or his staff. I am deeply disappointed by the lack of professionalism displayed by both Dr. Ostriker and his team. If he is too busy, he should inform patients and offer to reschedule instead of making them wait unnecessarily. It is especially concerning given that my mother is an elderly person who requires considerate and timely care.

Dr Ostriker is good and knowledgeable. However, office staff in scheduling and the one who is measuring the eye is very rude. Very hard to schedule appointment. Unfriendly office staff. Poor communication between office staff to patient.

I'm very satisfied with the doctor but there is a disconnect between the doctor, office staff and the insurance payments. My understanding is he has a women who works at home on his billing and whoever is in the office has no idea who's paying what.
