My experience with Dr. Shear was not favorable at all. This was my first visit, and I was having a very specific problem. He would not let me speak. He continually cut me off by holding up his hand and talking over me. He had no desire to listen to me and scoffed at everything I said. Believe me, I wasn't talking his ear off. I just had some details that I thought he needed to know. He sent me to have a MRI. I called for the results and the nurse said Dr. Shear did not find anything wrong with my MRI. I said, "Great, What do I need to do next? Come back in to see Dr. Shear?" She said she needed to go back and speak to Dr. Shear again to find out what he wanted to do. She called me back and said he couldn't help me and he suggested I go to a Neuro-Ophthalmologist. I asked if he could refer me to a specific one and she said, "No, just go to your LOCAL Neuro-Ophthalmologist" and then hung up. Ridiculous. Worst experience with a doctor I've ever had. I do not recommend him or his practice.
