Very disappointing
Dr. Gamboa told me I had a 50% success rate for my surgery(breast cancer reconstruction related). I knew this was inaccurate. I met with 2 other surgeons, who both confirmed my success rate was 99%. We figured out that Dr. Gamboa wanted to do much more surgery on me than what was necessary or even recommended. If she would have done my surgery I may have had to undergo several more procedures that could have taken up to a year or more to complete and heal from.Please be your own advocate and make sure what she tells you is necessary.

Dr. Gamboa will probably not remember me, but she did my surgery or my face and neck about 15 or 16 years ago! It has been great and so natural that only immediate family members know that I had it done. A terrible sagging neck was a inherited trait, and today is so obvious with my brothers.(doesn't look so bad on them, but on me not so much!Ha) At class reunions and family gatherings, people always comment on how I still look just like I did in high school. It makes me feel so good!!MH

The Dr. will only spend 3 minutes maximum examining you and less than 2 minutes speaking with you per visit. Whatever you are told prior to your surgery is very unlikely to be true once you wake up in recovery. The priority seems to be using patients as medical props to train up and coming Dr.s Most of the conversation around you and as an outpatient / hospital patient will be training Dr. to Dr. or groups of student nurses with professor and you will just be an object in the room.

My face lift was done well over 12yrs ago by Dr Gamboa. No one could tell I'd had it done but I looked amazing. A true artist w/o going overboard. A very caring and talented Dr.
