Dr. Gloria Ivey-Crowe, MD

During my hysterectomy surgery she stitched my urerter closed. I had to be re-hospitalized for approx 10 days as my kidney was shutting down. I had to have nasogastric (NG) intubation and after a few extremely painful days, they put in a temporary stint. During this time I had follow ups by her partners, because she had left on vacation right after my surgery. I lost 6 weeks of work, went thru a lot of pain and suffering and was on pain medication for months. All she said to me after she returned from her vacation was that she had made a mistake. She should have done a “dye test” after the procedure to make sure everything was OK, but she did not. She claimed she did but we got copies of my medical records that showed she DID NOT. My WARNING to everyone....Make sure she is not going on vacation before you have any procedures done. The day of my scheduled surgery, I received a call from the hospital that my surgery was moved up several hours.....that should have been my warning.

Dr. Ivey-Crowe is very attentive and quite knowledgeable. She made time to see me twice with short notice which is nice. She's never made me feel uncomfortable and actually listened to my concerns. I have had many doctors ignore my concerns or ask stereotypical questions that do not pertain to my lifestyle. Dr. Ivey-Crowe makes me feel respected and like I have a partner in helping me navigate my female changes. She serves a diverse population, but if you are a women of color and would like a physician who understands the female anatomy and has cultural awareness Dr. Ivey-Crowe is amazing.

Dr. Crowe makes me feel very comfortable when I see her. She was extremely helpful when my monthly bleeding became so heavy and long that I was becoming anemic. I would never want to see anyone else.

I find Dr. Ivey-Crowe to be very friendly and upbeat. I like that in a physician and appreciate her sense of humor. She has always been professional during my visits while catching up on the last year since I only see her for a yearly exam. She made gave an excellent referral for my menopausal issues and I've been seeing that doctor for years.

This staff is most helpful and nice. They take all the nervousness away at the door. Getting an appointment is always easy. The new place is nice and lots of parking. I drive over an hour just to continue to see Dr. Ivey-Crowe.
