Lack of care and professionalism
I am 19 weeks and had a very disappointing experience with Dr. Morton. I was running late for my OB-GYN appointment due to heavy traffic, to which I informed the office about well in advance. Despite notifying ahead of time, I was still turned away because she left the office and gave no notice of this. I was shocked by the lack of professionalism and inflexibility for a full time working mother who went 8 miles out of my way in heavy traffic to check on the health of my child. I expected a more empathetic , inclusive and accommodating approach to patient care, rather than insisting on enforcing policy without exception which just adds to the stress and vulnerability of pregnancy. One wonders, is she turning away full term patients?

Excellent care and follow-through
Dr. Morton is very personable and explains things well. She has excellent follow-through on concerns. The first time I saw Dr. Morton for an annual exam I mentioned something in my medical history that had never been diagnosed, and she made a point of ordering the tests and procedures that would finally provide a difinitive answer and a real solution. I truly appreciate Dr. Morton's level of care and her interest in my health.

Not personable
I saw Dr. Morton for a post-miscarriage check up. She was not very welcoming and was very cold with her patient interaction. I felt as if I was wasting her time. She did not pay attention to my concerns and concluded my visit by offering me a IUD to help regulate my hormones. I will not be seeing her again.

Dr. Morton was my surgeon for a c-section. She refused to honor my requests for sutures vs staples, despite evidence that sutures lead to lower infection rates in high BMI women, and for a PICO dressing/wound vac to prevent infection. I then got an infection despite taking pains to follow wound care instructions. She also prevented my meeting with my doula before the surgery. I would NEVER use this provider again, and strongly encourage other women to avoid her.
