Most unpleasant provider
As most reviews note, Verdugo lacks basic interpersonal skills, tends to talk over patients rather than listen and, in my case is dismissive of concerns I have had about sinus and hearing problems that were clearly the result of septoplasty turbinate reduction procedure I had more than a year earlier. At first I thought his demeanor was related to fact that I sought second opinion, but reading reviews it is clear that he treats others with the same arrogance and dismissiveness I experienced today. No patient needs to tolerate the insulting treatment Verdugo seems to think appropriate. Almost all positive reviews date back to 2021, while the negative are the more recent. We all noted the same problem. Whatever his problem, he ought not take it out on his patients. If his intent was to drive me away, mission accomplished!

Bad bedside manner , lacks empathy, went here about a mass on my parotid and I was Not impressed esp with someone who would be cutting into my face . Didn’t recommend a biopsy prior . Went to MEE in Boston totally worth the care!

Does not listen
Talked over me. Brushed off my questions. Did not listen or care about past ENT history and was skeptical of other providers' assessments. Left feeling offended and like I had wasted my time. Will not go back

Avoid him at all costs. He rushed through our appointment, talked over my concerns, sent me for tests he never bothered to follow up with, ignoring my request for updates from messages sent via his own patient portal. I finally got a once sentence report from an office administrator, not the doctor himself. Horrible way to practice medicine.

I have seen Dr. Verduga twice over the years.I found him to be extremely thorough and I have complete confidence in him. He patiently answered all my questions and spent a lot of time during my office visit, which is rare nowadays.I am extremely happy that I have him as my ENT specialist.

A happy Patient – Jun 25, 2021

Avoid Dr. Verdugo if you are looking for a doctor to listen to your concerns. He cut me off multiple times, was rude and condescending, and did not even remotely address my concerns. I went in for tinnitus and all he did was test my hearing and clear impacted wax. The tinnitus is still just as bad and he did not give me any help with it. Do not recommend.

If you want surface treatment & to feel utterly unimportant, this is the ENT for you! After driving 2hrs to arrive for my 11am appt, i went through the new covid-protocol at the front of the building & by the time I got to verdugos office at 11:04, they told me he had already left for surgery. He didnt even wait 5 minutes to hold our scheduled appt. I've been waiting weeks to find out about the tumors in my neck, but he didnt care. I was told to reschedule. The appt offered was for a double booking... I saw the screen, the ENTIRE day was double booked, which means no one is getting the time or attention they deserve. I worked in healthcare for years, I understand how the system works. This office staff is heartless and you are just a number. If Verdugo can bill someone else for more money, that's the appt hes going to prioritize. When I saw him last year I attributed his lack of enthusiasm and interest to a busy schedule. Now I know hes just a bad dr who doesnt care about his patients.

Dr. Verdugo was thorough, took the time to carefully consider my special situation, and did not take any risks that could have caused me harm. He referred me to an excellent Neurotologist and was even able to get my appointment earlier than I could! Dr. Verdugo is an excellent ENT & I am so lucky to have been assigned to him. I highly, highly recommend him.

He was so unprofessional. Even when I tried to explain the problem my child is having he just interrupted me and gave me his conclusion without even looking at my daughter's tonsils. She got another referral and this time I rather go to Boston.

Extremely unhelpful and suggestions for relieving blockage in my ear were neither relevant nor professional. My advice: actually let your patients get a word in during a consult, rather than talking at them for 10-15 minutes. Additionally, providing anecdotes/medical history of other patients with similar symptoms is just odd and concerning. Patient turnover in this office = like going through a revolving door.

Not a great experience with this doctor and office. Went in for my twins who are 4 month and have eating difficulties due tongue and lip ties and he was going to make them wait another 2 months because his schedule was booked. He wouldn't let another doctor in his office complete the procedure if they could do it sooner. Greed! So my poor babies were going to have to cry in pain while eating for another 2 month ?? Needless to say not recommended for children at all.
