I suffered with debilitating depression for years because Dr. Harkness told me that because I had come in to talk to him about my symptoms, I couldn't be depressed. It wasn't until I attempted suicide that he listened to me. And he always seemed to be in a rush to get you out of the office.

He has been a great physician. He actually listens to me and doesn't dismiss my concerns. I have complex medical problems, and he helps me sort them out.

I loved Dr. Harkness as a physician, but his office gouged me financially. The office visit cost $177. I currently use Christian Healthcare Ministries for insurance, which has a high deductible. The office refused to make any adjustments to the charges. Every other medical office I have visited in Provo (pediatrician, dentist, optometrist, OB) has adjusted charges on my bill for "self-pay" customers who have high deductible insurance. The office staff treated me like a second-class citizen.
