OUTSTANDING PHYSICIAN
Dr. Chen was my mother's geriatrician for more than 11 years, from the time my mom was almost 90 through her passing at 101. I lived with and was responsible for my mom's care all that time. As a result, from her first appointment until my last contact to advise Dr. Chen that my mom had died, I was present for everything - in office appointments, in hospital stays and online zoom calls. When we first started, Mom had been diagnosed with a mild cognitive disorder which over the years became full blown dementia. She had heart valve surgery, breast cancer surgery, kidney stones and many hospitalizations as a result of UTI'S, pneumonia and other ailments. Throughout it all, Dr. Chen was there for my mom. She is an excellent diagnostician. She and I didn't always agree but we shared a mutual respect for each other and a common goal of keeping or getting my mom well. My mother loved her and I think the feeling was mutual. I would recomment Dr. Grace Chen without reservation.

Dr. Chen has been our physician for 11 yrs. we have found her to be caring and concerned. She answers our emails the same day and sends us to good physicians for other concerns outside of her specialty. I don’t understand how other folks can describe her as cold.

Dr Chen is a cold, unsympathetic physician . She should not be in geriatrics. She may be good but not warm, which older people would benefit from.

Rude, condescending, unhelpful and unconcerned. Absolutely the worst doctor I have ever seen, anywhere. Since these are my personal opinions, she cannot prevail in a lawsuit against me for liable per se.

After having no health insurance for a number of years, I chose UCLA and Dr. Chen as my practitioner. The moment I met her I felt very comfortable. She listened to me as if I were her only patient. I messed up one of my appointment times and she had left the office for lunch. Her staff was understanding, courteous and prompt in locating Dr. Chen. She fit me in I needed a pre-op authorization. Dr. Chen made it happen.
