All reviews are confirmed and audited before publication, and community members have the ability to flag inappropriate content for further review by our team.

Don't be fooled.
See him more than once or twice and you will realize that the 'real' Dr. Cox doesn't care about anyone but himself (and making money). He can lay on the charm at times, but eventually shows who he really is. He will cancel your appointments at the last minute, sometimes while you are already in the reception area! He values his time, not yours. He is dismissive, moody, unreliable and fake. He used to be a good doctor, but is burnt out now and his ego has gotten the best of him, sadly.

Dr. Cox is the best OB/GYN in Tulsa. In addition to being an exceptional physician, he offers his patients what seems like an increasingly rare gift in the medical profession these days: his time and care. He never rushes an appointment. He thoroughly explains any procedures, test results, and/or determinations. He actively listens with a genuine care that is both refreshing and reassuring. When a follow-up phone call is needed to relay test results or other pertinent information, Dr. Cox is the one who personally makes the call. In addition, from the receptionists to the nurses, walking into his practice feels nothing short of a warm embrace. Everyone is friendly, compassionate, and professional. So, if you want the best OB/GYN care in Tulsa, then look no further than Dr. Cox and his staff.

Dr. Cox returned a page for my wife’s Ob on a Sat. & this guy was such an incredible jerk it was shocking. He was rude to both me & my wife, unwilling to listen & hung up the phone on my wife when she was mid-sentence. He contacted the lab to attempt (unsuccessfully) to locate test results, & when he called back he chastised my wife, saying: “You need to give me an accurate name; if you lie about your real name, I can’t help.” My wife explained that, had he not hung up on her, he would have learned that she’d given the answering service (who paged him) her married name, as that’s how it’s listed with her primary Ob’s office, but her insurance still uses her maiden name. It got worse, but the guy was unequivocally the rudest physician I’ve ever dealt with (& I’ve dealt with a LOT). He may be a brilliant clinician (who knows) but his bedside manner is abysmal. He was clearly pissed to be on call & bothered on a wknd despite a Pt w/ a potential emergency. Avoid him at all costs.

Disappointed Patient – Aug 31, 2021

Worst Doctor experience of my life. This place is a scam. Do NOT go here. Every single staff member is rude. You're lucky if they answer the phone to schedule an appointment. I went in for an IUD removal and I was charged $125 for Dr Cox to tell me to take prenatal vitamins and go to a nice dinner. His office assistant screamed at me on the phone for 20 minutes trying to justify this charge. From the waiting room, to the staff, nothing about the environment is personal. I was in and out of this appointment in 5 minutes. Not even enough time to ask questions but somehow that constituted a $125 charge that is not covered by any insurance. Go elsewhere.

There were usually long wait times, and the doctor’s bedside manner was lacking. Exams and tests performed by him were extremely painful. I switched doctors and was shocked to find out pelvic exams didn’t have to hurt! He was not gentle and caused me excruciating pain. He also failed to detect an easily treatable medical condition that my new doctor detected immediately. The best thing I ever did for my health was finding a new doctor.

This is the first positive experience I've ever had with an OB/GYN. Dr. Cox actually pulled up a chair to sit down and talk to me about my medical history. He didn't seem rushed and was actually interested in my concerns and issues. Since my appointment a few weeks ago, I've been singing his praises to my friends and family. Excellent doctor!!

Dr Cox is absolutely the best OB in Tulsa. My pregnancy complications are overwhelming. My file when I arrived to his office was several inches thick. I was desperate and hopeless. He walked my husband and I through a challenging pregnancy... I now have a little boy named Grant!

Worst experience by far with any doctor I've ever had. Nothing was explained and I left all 3 visits totally confused. The final straw was being sent to a "procedure" with no explanation and then being charged over $800 because insurance didn't cover it. Retrieving my medical records and running for the door was the best decision I could've made. Very bizarre experience with a doctor who is extremely aloof and when confronted with my issues, acted unprofessional and unapologetic.

I met with Dr Cox for the first time and i went home satisfied that he is not just a Dr for making money he is concerned about my challenges. He listens and shows some empathy, that is not seen with many physicians today. He was running behind schedule and he apologised. His nurse was very nice and had a smile all the time i spoke with her. Loved the experience, will have my children with him.
